I can't unwatch that. Im sure it was what we think. Can't get it out of my head :(

I don't think it was a baby, we're supposed to think that but it's going to have an innocent explanation. Like the guy's a model maker in his spare time or something.

I think that too, a baby in an oven is a step too far even for Whitechapel.

I think it'll be one of those re-born dolls, they have to be dried in an oven don't they? The hard bitten journalist lovingly painting dolls in his spare time hence the "don't judge me!".

He did say 'supper' though when RP-j shouted at him. I thought it might be a baby pig, suits the theme, but it was horrible

Just watched this on itv player and thought there'd be a thread on here! I think prof is right, but it's a horrible cliffhanger to end on until next week, can't stop picturing it :-( i used to love whitechapel but this series is getting a bit too dark for me

It looked awful-but can't believe people thought it was a baby!

Thought it was supposed to be some offal/innards!

Wonder what the old lady was eating that "looked like beef"!

Diddl the old lady was Louise from the book signing wasnt it? I assumed it was a meals on wheels type of thing that the carer brought with her.

Yes, it was-Angela Pleasence.

Yes, meals on wheels type thing-just that she asked what it was & the woman who was then killed said that it looked like beef, & then we discover that there's a gang going round evicerating people...

The police pathologist bursting the female DC's boil sent me over the edge. I nearly brought up my dinner!

The old lady from the book signing has been lurking at the aftermath of all the murder scenes this series. It's a bit like the Observers in Fringe!

Did I see somewhere that her mame is Louise Iver. As in Lucifer? Whitechapel is described as the gates of hell.

Yy, I've seen her everywhere. I'm loving this series, can't wait for next week!

diddl · 04/10/2013 15:48

Yes-Louise Iver who lives at 66b-brilliant!

The female DC, letting the moth out, that's a bit too random script writing.

I think the female DC IS Louise Iver. I can't recall seeing them at the book signing together, it would explain the access to the station, and why she stepped out of the room to let the moth go, and isn't in the subsequent scenes.

I am a Whitechapel addict, and my name is Stratters.

That pic of Louise Iver and the Krays was creepy, as was the message from the dead dad.

Wasn't it! I've only just discovered Whitechapel, I've indulges in seasons 1-3 on DVD though.
