I found it funny in parts, but was disconcerted by how much older they looked and, in a weird way, how the two guys looked more starry than before. Like Father Ted, I think it was 50% hilarious and 50% dull, but hang on in for a repeat of the cannibal cellist episode.

I came to the IT crowd late and that was the only episode I've seen. My friend has got the box sets so I'll have to catch up. It was as good as thought it would be smile.

Tear gas grin.

I really liked it.

My favourite episode is where they go to the theatre and Roy ends up pretending he's disabled and Moss working behind the bar.

Loved it, this program has such special memories for me. DH and I haven't laughed like that for a long time grin

Our household's oft-repeated lines;

so-and-so has put someone on a 'pedal stool'

when the doorbell rings; 'there's somebody, at, the door!' (yeah I know it was Rod Hull and Emu first)

'was it those bullies?'

'you've broken the internet. Have you typed Google into Google again?'

I came here to drink milk and kick ass.

I've finished my milk

My favourite episode was Countdown. Every time we watch Prometheus, we point out Prime and say, 'that's Prime piloting Prometheus!'

MrsGeologist Wed 02-Oct-13 11:43:14

I loved it too and I'm sad it's over, but I suppose you don't want it to go on too long, or it'll get a bit tired like the Simpsons or Family Guy.

I liked the Game Board bit too Prof my friends own most of the ones they had behind them and they bring them round for game night.

My kids are huuuuge IT Crowd fans, every meal time is a rehearsal of all the best lines, and we all love Moss to bits. We thought it was bitter sweet, and utterly hilarious in parts, especially with Moss having to wear women's 'slacks' - brilliant.
Can't believe it is all over. Lights on and off......

Caught up with this last night and it didn't disappoint, we laughed all the way through. Loved Richmond's 'gliding' grin.

The Gay musical is a favourite in our house but really it is hard to pick as it is all genius.

I love the one where Renham ends up in bed with the transsexual - "I thought you said you were from Iran" has become a stock phrase in our household grin.

harryhausen Mon 30-Sep-13 13:30:54

Floral, the episode with the GAY musical really is the best one I think. It never fails to makes me cry with mirth.

Or "Something happened" where Roy gets kissed on the arse by his masseuse.

Or, the one when Roy looses his coat, gets locked out of the office and becomes homeless within an hour.

Or, when Moss invents 'AbracadaBRA' the most comfortable bra ever known to man and goes on Dragons Den.....

Oh I must stop. Geek alert.

My partner and I roared like good 'uns all the way through. Just the medicine we needed. Ayoade is just brilliant!!

Loved it, I forgot how much I loved it. Made me miss The Mighty Boosh even more though!

ProfYaffle Mon 30-Sep-13 11:38:11

We loved it, dh works in IT and has loved it since the first episode when got very excited about Roy's RTFM t-shirt.

I was weeping with laughter at the Games Board because dh and his friends are exceptionally geeky about board games. I want the clip to appear on Youtube so I can post it to dh's fb page and say "that's you that is".

I think it's very 'IT Crowd' that we all watched it with low expectations, despite loving the previous series.

We love IT crowd ,and also watched with low expectations and found it very enjoyable .The gay musical episode is probably one of the funniest bits of TV ever .

Frettchen Mon 30-Sep-13 11:19:42

It's on the 4oD Comedy youtube channel. I knew it was coming but had no idea when, and wouldn't have known I'd missed it had I not seen it on my 'recommended for you' on youtube.

Is probably on regular 4oD too, come to think of it...

AnyFucker Mon 30-Sep-13 10:57:43

Does anyone know if it is to be repeated anywhere. I bloody missed it angry

dopeysheep Mon 30-Sep-13 10:57:19

Thanks harryhausen, I will do just that smile

harryhausen Mon 30-Sep-13 10:50:04

Dopeysheep, that made me laugh too. I urge you to start from the very first series. The IT Crowd is my go-to comedy when I'm feeling a bit down or trying to work through the night. You won't regret itsmile

dopeysheep Mon 30-Sep-13 10:45:24

I really enjoyed it but haven't really seen tons of the old episodes but am going to now.
For some reason the phrase 'tiny barista' made me actually cry laughing. I love it.

harryhausen Sun 29-Sep-13 18:44:03

As a huge IT Crowd lover, I too had lowered my expectations for the final episode but was pleasantly surprised.

It did very much have a 'feel' of the characters/actors having been 4 years away - but it still worked well. I loved the back references to 'the internet' and the Robot hand, wasn't expecting to see Richmond in there.

It was a bit "oh let's reminisce about weird things we've done" but it didn't really matter, and I can't believe that I hadn't noticed Roy hadn't said "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" until the very end.

All in all, very satisfactory. Nothing will compare to the Final Countdown, Moss and the German and Jen the Fredo for me thoughgrin

SPBisResisting Sun 29-Sep-13 18:21:33

Oh no! I wish we'd known that.
