Dc and I recently got into it, they show all old ones on Dave, some are REALLY old, according to Richard (I sooooo would!!!) Hammonds hair length.

But we are cracking up with laughter at the programme.

the guys are so funny, so slapstick, weve learnt loads about cars now (petrol heads unite), DC and I partial to a bit of Hammond grin although all 3 guys are great...okay, Clarkson goes a bit overboard sometimes with the un-pc stuff, love James Mays bovine demeanor, and we love the Stig too.

the episode where Loius Spence is coming on to Hammond was hilarious, and weve just wathched the Bolivia special.

really cheered us up, we're both ill with flu atm and we're coughing our lungs up but well worth it to have a good laugh.

anyone else like it?

I am a bit hmm with the expense of destroying the cars and things and the stunts but im sure its all scripted and fixed.

can't just be us!! and theyre showing a 'new' series at 8pm tonight on Dave. well, new for Dave anyway! grin.

also, our favourite (so far) star in the car has been David tennant (yes, it's that old, it's when he was still the Doctor!) he was hilarious.

Yes, love, love, love it! Loads of people hate Clarkson, but I think he's brilliant!

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 19:56:43

I can see where people would hate Clarkson, but Reggie i think hes brilliant too! Hes not afraid of saying what he thinks wether it gets him into trouble or not!

yes, some are a bit below the belt but the other 2 sort him out anyway.

I can't satnd Jimmy Carr but hes made a few appearances on TG and he's really good in it.

This one on dave now is the most recent season, so hopefully that means a new season will be on BBC soon??

headlesslambrini Mon 23-Sep-13 20:03:54

Theyre ALWAYS filming in France grin.

thishouse happy birthday to your DS, you're educating him already grin.

yes the specials are brill. showing the India special this week sometime on Dave. watching ''new'' Dave series now. prefer Richard with longer hair but dont mind like this too! (sorry, Mrs Hammond, our drooling over your hubby). love his chocolate minstrel eyes!

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 20:49:24

its more than a car show though isnt it? its comedy, education (if you're into cars), the guests, the speed, the challenges, the banter.

the guys are fantastic together, what an inspired team. we're loving it, making up for lost time, wayching them all as theyre on,

VivaLeThrustBadger Mon 23-Sep-13 20:52:17

I love TopGear. The Specials are always good.....African ones, India, Vietnam, USA.

A lot of the comedy segments such as the caravan holiday and the DIY motor homes have had me crying with laughter.

It is all scripted and staged but I don't care.

I remember reading a JC newspaper article once which went something along the lines of, " I was at home writing a script for the next episode of Top Gear when I got a phone call to tell me we'd won an award for best unscripted TV show". grin

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 21:01:39

Oh yes the caravan one where they set it and the one next to them on fire grin.

and Jeremys tall motor home thing.! weve just been coughing away with laughter again!

and the one with Jeremy on the steam train! when hed finished and was as black as soot grin

NoComet Mon 23-Sep-13 21:08:39

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 21:12:34

starball youre absolutely right about therapy for the shittiness of life!

SoleSource Mon 23-Sep-13 21:12:42

He is my imaginary Husband and he has a lovely arse.

I watch every single episode

Vietnam special was my favourite and the USA special

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 21:14:10

didnt they get into trouble or something in Mexico for a jibe? think i read that somewhere once?

and Jeremy saying something about prostitutes? he said something in tonights about that.

Sidge Mon 23-Sep-13 21:27:13

I absolutely love TG and think Clarkson is hilarious. I know it's staged and scripted but it still cracks me up.

SoleSource Mon 23-Sep-13 21:27:42

It was Hammond - he made the remark about Mexicans and Jeremy got the blame.

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 21:30:14

What did he say solesource? they always seem to make jokes about people and cultures.

SadBadMadFat Mon 23-Sep-13 21:31:27

and yes theres certainly an appeal of all the guys. I can see where James are Jeremy attract too.

reggiebean Mon 23-Sep-13 21:33:40

He said something about Mexican cars being as lazy and feckless as the people in the country!
