I'm soooo excited
I cannot wait til DC's bedtime tonight!

wintertimeisfun Mon 12-Aug-13 17:15:25

i'm desperate to watch this but it's not available on 'normal' tv, or at least i don't think it is......killing me not being able to watch it and only read others reviews :-(

lifesgreatquestions Mon 12-Aug-13 17:19:12

(or should I say "yo bitch!")

We just finished season 5 on dvd and are torn between getting Netflix or waiting for it to come out on dvd. We've watched the whole series since starting 7 weeks ago. I sometimes feel a little rough as a result.

wintertimeisfun Mon 12-Aug-13 17:24:48

OMG so excited, just checked our netflix account and we DO have access to it (i thought it was a 'special' netflix fancy application or something that you needed to be able to view it). to say that i am excited is a little off tilt. i am such a looser grin

wintertimeisfun Mon 12-Aug-13 17:26:05

life i recommend you pay the £5.99 a month for netflix. aside from the obvious (being able to watch the new BB episodes) NF is really good, i rarely watch tv but instead, watch NF!

Cooroo Mon 12-Aug-13 21:41:41

Just watched it. Excellent. What can I say? Nothing if no one else has seen it yet. Can't believe Netflix didn't advertise this at all. So exciting!

UseHerName Mon 12-Aug-13 21:43:49

im watching it right now eeeeekk grin

DisappointedHorse Mon 12-Aug-13 22:05:43

I just watched it, can we post spoilers here?

NotInTheMood Mon 12-Aug-13 22:08:26

I've just watched the 1st episode season 1 and not really feeling it does it get better???

MirrorballMoon Mon 12-Aug-13 22:10:04

Just exciting! Loved the face-off between Walter and Hank...can't wait to see how this develops..! shock

Cooroo Mon 12-Aug-13 22:12:54

notinthemood I loved it from the start but many people have said it grows on them so stick with it! And leave this thread before you are utterly spoiled!

Cooroo Mon 12-Aug-13 22:15:24

Ok... Spoilers allowed now? I wasn't expecting that to happen so soon but it was a delight. Jesse was fantastic. So depressed, so apathetic, all that money and it means less than nothing to him. Nadia isn't going to let Walt off that lightly is she?

thenightsky Mon 12-Aug-13 22:17:26

NotInTheMood Watch Series 1 and think of it as a prequel to the main thing which starts proper in series 2.

God I love Breaking Bad. Not got Netflix here so will be waiting for series 5/2 to appear on dvd on Amazon.

I might avoid this thread actually as I am terrified of coming across a spoiler!

Cooroo Mon 12-Aug-13 22:22:48

Am surprised people weren't hooked early on. What do you do when you have a 2 dead bodies to deal with? And one isn't dead? And your bath isn't acid-proof?

And it's all so well shot (and I don't usually notice things like that).

BazilGin Mon 12-Aug-13 22:38:51

Where is it going to go? The best tv I have ever seen. Just watched it with many seconds until next Monday?
But seriously, which character would you like to survive? I have to say, Hank has always annoyed my guts so won't be sad to see him go, if that happens.

MirrorballMoon Mon 12-Aug-13 23:12:36

Hank used to annoy the heck out of me but I've grown to like his character later on. Walter, on the other hand, I now think is beyond redemption. So much deceit...! Don't think he even cares for Jesse any more. Their characters have gone full circle - each to the other side.
Can't wait for the next fix episode grin

Elsiequadrille Tue 13-Aug-13 02:01:38

I didn't expect the confrontation between Hank and Walter so soon! Goodness me, it was tense all the way through.

Patchouli Tue 13-Aug-13 20:26:59

"if you don’t know who I am, then maybe your best course would be to tread lightly".

oooooo love it!

Guineapigfriend Thu 15-Aug-13 21:29:18

Just watched it, Walt is such a contemptuous manipulater. I'm dying to watch his empire trash and burn.
Jessie is looking a bit fat!

tedmundo Fri 16-Aug-13 17:50:08

Ohhhh I was hoping there would be a BB thread.

patchouli .. Hank rightly looks nervous at that speech. To start with his anger makes him confront Walt with all guns blazing, but you see that it starts to dawn on him just who Walt is and how he has bitten off more than he can chew.

Jesse rocks. My ds1 is small, skinny but quite buff and I pray he looks like Jesse as an adult! So gorgeous.

itsallshitandmoreshit Fri 16-Aug-13 19:36:33

I love Breaking Bad so much. Best television ever. Best writing, casting, direction, acting, cinematography - I also don't notice stuff like that usually but it is superb!

It is a slow burn, season 1 was OK for me and as someone up thread said, in season 2 it really starts.

Its worth the time investment to see this genius piece of production.
I feel sorry for those who have never seen it. They have genuinely missed out IMHO.

Walter White aka Bryan Cranston must be the best character ever played on television. "SAY MY NAME" grin

KatyTheCleaningLady Mon 19-Aug-13 10:08:14

I want to cuddle Jesse Pinkman and tell him he's a good person who deserves to be happy. Love that character.

I love Jesse. I'm hoping that, in the end, Jesse walks away having dealt with Walt and making amends. Jesse is basically a good man, but Walt is corrupt to the core. I also like Hank, and thought the stand off was genius. I think we were all expecting that to drag on a bit, so getting it out of the way in the first episode means we now have no clue where it's going to go. Brave.

PollyPlummer Mon 19-Aug-13 10:23:43

Checking in for later, I love Jesse too. BITCH.
Last weeks episode was so good, loved the tread lightly comment.
I actually think the ricin might be for our beloved Jesse. sad I think they will all die in the last episode.

ccsays Mon 19-Aug-13 10:29:36

There is a theory polly

Has anyone watched the latest episode yet? I really, really want Jesse to tell all.
