I worked for 'Damon Grant' for a little while. He was lush.

When the Nanny had outstayed her visa and Terry was trying to keep her in the UK. There was a very long, intricately woven story with Barry Grant offering to marry her but she'd need to have a child with him.

Brookie was ahead of it's time.
So glad that Brookside is being mentioned very favourably on here. I used to love it, it was so good and they did some cracking storylines really well. Remember when Sheila Grant was raped? That was so hard hitting at the time and it was handled incredibly well. Also the Trevor Jordache abuse storyline when Mandy ended up killing him etc. I really want to see Brookside repeated. Yes it did go pretty crap towards the end there but for a while it was absolutely cracking!
Just saw Jacqui Dixon on Hollyoaks while channel hopping - remember the immense storyline about her wanting 'new trainees'
When bianca was coming on to the gorgeous Michael French Aka david wickes and he shouted at her "I'm your father". I've read he's in talks with scriptwriters about a possible come back. Please god make this true, I luffs him totally.
I wish on of the satellite channels would reshow Brookside.
Heather Haversham and her 2cv
Sheila and Bobby
The wonderful Barry Damon and 'our Karen'
The gangster story lines
Harry Cross and Mick Jackson
Billy Corkhill going loco over his 'Doe' and her affair with the dentist
The siege where one of the nurses was shot.
Used to love the Saturday omnibus takes me right back to my uni years.
I used to love the Saturday omnibus as well. My mum always cooked a chicken curry on a Saturday for tea and would serve it with rice and chips and loads of buttered bread. Every time I think of Brookside I also think of my Mum's chicken curry! Without fail!
