I've been watching the first series and just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on it. I love Steve Buschemi he is one of my favourite actors and he's brilliant in this Smile

Love, love, love Boardwalk - even better than Mad Men and that's saying something! The acting (in spite of spates of violence) is incredibly subtle and the writing is just so clever. Adore Steve Buschemi.

Can you get hold of series 2 and 3? It just gets better and better - although I must admit to having to look up a few Boardwalk forums to fully understand the plot sometimes!

Really hope there's another season soon Smile

Well I'm up to episode 8 on series 1. I can't wait to see what happens. At the minute there's just a lot of character building so I'm looking to getting stuck into the plot. Will definitely be watching the other series :)

It's a slow burner Boardwalk Empire and reveals things over a long period. I found some bits a bit disjointed in the earlier series but there are links running throughout. Definitely worth sticking with - I would really like to watch the early series again.

I've seen it all so far but I'm watching the first series again. I think I'm on episode 3 or 4. It's interesting to re-watch because I keep thinking: 'Ahh! So that's why he/she did that.'

I agree ginger. There's a lot of long-term planning involved and connections being laid down that you don't know about until later. Very clever and confident too seeing as a lot of series get cancelled.

I'm not asking for anyone to go into it in detail btw because that will spoil for anyone who hasn't seen it.

Watched episode 8 last night where Nookie's brother (forgot what he's called) got shot. Can't wait to see what happens to the culprits. It will also be interesting to see what happens between him and Margaret.

I gave up because it was a bit too slow burning for me and also as an Irish person I just couldn't accept Kelly MacDonald's heinous Oirish accent. Or her simpering.

DP has watched it all though and loves it.
