Nothing comes close to it these days. I miss watching it and then discussing it endlessly on here. How long till we have the ginger one back among us ?

Nobody has responded, I notice! But I miss it badly too. Anyone know what I could watch instead?

I miss it too, Sunday nights are not the same now! I want it to come back

I love it as well.

But where will it go now? It started to get a bit silly towards the end of the last one, I really hope it doesn't get too preposterous next series.

I am still upset that they blew up Estes. he was a great character and should have stayed in.

I want the next series to start primarily so I can go back to loathing Brody's wife

I miss it too. Am sad about Estes also, but at least he's back in the UK. Well, his actor is, anyway. Incidentally, I saw him touted as the next Dr Who. That might make me watch it!

Poor Mrs Brody and her little head Sad

I saw something on telly with David Harewood talking in a cockney accent - he was so convincing as an american it now sounds strange for him to speak in his normal voice.

He is a lovely looking man

I can't even remember the name of the character of Brody's wife, which is strange as I really obsessively dislike the character with her upturned nose and terrible dresses.

Cockney must have been a 'voice' too - he's a Brummie, isn't he?

NB I may have got this wrong. It is a distinct possibility that I did not hear him at all, as I was too distracted by his visual loveliness.
Did you see him months ago on Sunday brunch? He had unbuttoned his shirt, a la Simon Cowell. I was all aquiver.

I don't think he is a cockney actually, thinking of it. He did the voiceover for a brilliant documentary a few years ago, Welcome to Lagos. He just had a very nice, smooth generic southern voice.

Oh god at the thought of him in an unbuttoned shirt.

I saw pics of him half naked in the paper a few weeks with his VERY LUCKY wife. Grin

I'll bet he was pissed off they blew him up. I read an interview with him where he was so chuffed to have got that part after years of small bit parts.

I miss it too, I also still mourn the passing of Spooks.

I get what people say about it being far fetched towards end of last series but the way they worked in the bombing was brilliant imo.

When is new series on??

Dunno when it's back. Late autumn perhaps?

So should I try Spooks? Or The Killing/Borgen?

Season 2 of Homeland only finished 3 weeks ago in the US...

I miss Homeland too (and Spooks).
There really isn't anything on at the moment that makes me sit on the edge of my seat and gasp at the twists.
I do like the look of that Revolution Vajazz. I love a good apocalypse.

I only discovered this series for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I have compulsively watched both seasons back to back when the kids are in bed. Brilliant !

David Harewood...yummy.

Damian Lewis, not physically yummy but plays a good part.

Clare Danes...brilliant (and yummy). I loved her acting (and over acting, at times), her home deco, her clothes, her shack on the lake.

It has actually thrown me right off telly watching, because everything looks crap now

What is "Fringe" and this "Revolution" of which you speak ?

Sorry, meant to say the next season of Homeland is due Autumn 2013...dunno if that is in the US or UK though

It was supposed to be this spring, but Clare Danes got herself bloody pregnant !

If you like Homeland you'll like Rubicon - a 13 episode series that was amazing, made about 3 years ago.

It's a crime they didn't make a second series.

Right I'll check out Rubicon then. And have set sky to record Revolution although I'm not a big post-apocalypse fan.

I've been thinking what's the closest box-set wise to Homeland, and my conclusion is Battlestar Gallatica. Forget the sci fi setting, it's the only thing I've watched that gives such good plot twists, intriguing complex sexy characters, political manoeuvring, and some damn fine cliffhangers. Violence level not dissimilar.
