Marking my place to remind me to record!

Which one was Marchlands again - the one with Suranne Jones or the one with the different time periods in the same house??

The one with different time periods for the same house. The one with surranne jones the secret of crickley hall

Marchlands was way way better than Crickley Hall.

Really looking forward to this one. It will be great to have a decent mid week drama to enjoy.

I watched it - it was SO boring imo, won't bother with the rest.

I enjoyed it, but it was a bit slow.

Hmmmmm... after getting really annoyed that I just Could Not Find It Anywhere, I clicked on the link in the OP and realised that it wasn't called Marchlands.

So it didn't matter howmany times I refreshed ITV Player over the last couple of days, it was never going to give me what I wanted Blush

Yikes, the accents are shocking.

Are we going to have a guess at the whodunnit? I think, american, accident, post coital fag?

it was a bit slow but i liked it and cant wait for the rest of the series. i think the father did it... there's something not quite right about him

i remember watching marchlands and loved it but was dissappointed by the end... even though i cant remember now how it ended Blush

I am also thinking the father. Some of the things Lucy said made me wonder if he had abused her (or someone else in the family) in some way. My first thought is Eve being peed off with Lucy for nabbing the airman, but that's too obvious. Just watched it on iplayer and enjoyed it but agree re accents.

notactuallyme · 02/03/2013 21:40

I think I like it more than marchlands. I think the marchlands ending was that there were two girls playing and it was an accident that one drowned?

Report
TwllBach · 03/03/2013 20:40

I think that the American and Eve would be too obvious.

YY to the dad! There was something about strange about their relationship. Or maybe the mum - she knew what was going on with the dad and was jealous because she is horrible too?

Or... maybe the sister. Maybe she had a crush on the American and set fire to the barn to get back at Lucy, thinking it was Eve in there. Or maybe not caring which one it was. Bit strange that she doesn't remember that entire year otherwise, surely?

I still think the american lit a fag and set fire to the hay then legged it. Dad too obviously weird. Eve wouldn't kill both surely, and how would lucy end up alone there? (They were together weren't they, so eve would think she was killing the american too)

Agree there is something dodgy about Lucy's dad. Abuse, do you think?

And agree about the accents - they don't match! The dad's accent sounds more London-ish, whereas Lucy herself sounds more country, but whether it is the correct accent for Suffolk, I'm not sure? Why don't they get dialect coaches for the actors in these things?
