I LOOOOOOOOOVE IT!

I have never seen a bad one. I do think the woman in it looks a bit like skeletor but it's fab!

Silent Witness is destroying my weekends again. DH watches it on iPlayer Fri/Sat nights and I really can't bear it. It is full of pointless violence and this series seems determined to torture and kill as many women as possible - or show them as being corrupt and incompetent.

I will be hugely relieved when it is all over.

Well not this week...

Iplayer was playing up last night so we haven't watched this week's yet - should I risk watching it then?

It's so good.

Is it really Pip?

I've watched the two episodes on Thursday & Friday this week, having never seen it at all before.

I came to the opposite conclusion, that it had two strong females as well as a couple of reasonably likeable male characters (although it failed the test thingy as the two females never spoke directly to one another) All the bad characters as well as the victims were male in these episodes. . .

Is it usually crap then? Sad

I Thought I'd found something I could grow to love [hopeful]

anoncfr says this week is different, which is hopeful for when I watch tonight.
The three earlier weeks were very disappointing IMO.

The 2 new characters come as a team, which is a bit odd as it meant Leo had no real choice in employing them both when they were only recruiting for one. They are making it a bit more CSi too. I wonder how many govt. forensic scientists and pathologists get to solve crimes in the field?

That said, the copper was at least human this week and I thought it was going to be one of those endings were the bad guys get away with it so it was good in that respect. The MP was creepy anyway, before he found out about the land.

I love it too and can't believe it's all over now!

It is the best thing on tv and Leo is a bit of old spice totty Smile

I've always loved it, ever since Amanda Burton use to 'be' Leo. I miss Harry but I think the new guy is a v good replacement, and Clarissa is ace.
I felt a bit like a genius cos I got the amontillado reference straight away. I read a lot of Edgar Allan Poe as a teenager. Grin

I think this series has gone back to the old style Silent Witness. The last two seasons had been by dark with confusing storylines. It's nice to see them work more like a team again.

I just came on to ask the same thing I've just started watching it again after missing it for a few years but loving it!

I think its either really good or really bad... the episodes where they are in a university shooting are so scary. But sometimes it is just not very gripping. And how could they just have Harry disappear like that?!?

I am bereft that Handsome Harry has gone.
On the other hand I ended up deleting most of the last series as they were too violent. This one is good, notwithstanding the lack of Harry, and back to it's usual quality.
I have watched all the Emilia Fox episodes but not the earlier ones as I don't like Amanda Burton.

Golly. I didn't think Leo would leave. No coming back from that. I wonder Harry will realise the error of his waves and return for the next series?
