if anyone is interested.

BBC2, 7.30pm tonight.

Raahh Wed 06-Mar-13 19:32:31

Ood- yup, new boy definitely needs to just leave the other two to bicker- they're like little kids!

Oodsigma Wed 06-Mar-13 19:50:22

Cowboy thing entertaining but not sure the judges will go for it!

makingdoo Wed 06-Mar-13 19:55:58

Just catching this.

Loved the idea of the cowboy thing but agree it would've really difficult to serve as a banquet.

The titanic is not appropriate as a comic relief theme

Raahh Wed 06-Mar-13 20:03:56

It felt like he just stuck 'Titanic' at the beginning for no reason- the centenary was last year, and what has venison got to do with it? And i agree, inappropriate, and not funny.

makingdoo Wed 06-Mar-13 20:27:01

Yes raahh it just didn't make sense to me.

Looking forward to dessert tomorrow grin

Bilbobagginstummy Wed 06-Mar-13 20:40:15

Raw egg yolk? I agree: yuk!

Had high hopes for NI but not really living up to it.

MsNobodyAgain Wed 06-Mar-13 21:27:31

The pie was the best of a bad bunch today.

What's funny about the Titanic??? Yeah, loads of people dying, hilarious hmm

The lamb dish was tame.

I was bemused at the Titanic being Comic Relief-worthy too. If he wanted to send the venison to the table in a 'themed' smoker, I am sure there are other smoky things he could have chosen - a steam train or a mini barbecue, for example.

i love how they show Glynn at the beginning with a big scowl- but he has such a wicked smile.

At least Chris has ditched the daft props for his pudding.

Raahh Thu 07-Mar-13 19:40:30

there's an awful lot of bickering going on again.

Chris and his precious sponge is pissing me off- that and messingwith other people's ovens.

Raahh Thu 07-Mar-13 19:48:23

Oh dear- that's one pathetic eruptiongrin

Raahh Thu 07-Mar-13 19:51:26

I do like the idea of the egg thing.

Raahh Thu 07-Mar-13 19:53:27

PLEASE let it be Ian and one of the oter's tomorrow- not Chris and Ray (though on the performance tonight, C+R are not a shoo in)

Raahh Thu 07-Mar-13 19:59:04

wtf? got to be Ian over Ray, surely...

NO WAY Ian was far better (and more mature)all week

Maybe Glynn hopes they'll kill each othergrin

MsNobodyAgain Thu 07-Mar-13 20:46:01

Damn it. Never got chance to watch tonight but I can see it was the result I did not want.

Mind you, we might get a MN bun-fight style final grin

Ruprekt Thu 07-Mar-13 22:33:06

Ian's cooking was faaaaaaar better than the others!

I knew Glynn was going to put Chris through. Scruffy greasyspoon cook!

So far none of the chefs through were my choice. confusedconfusedconfused

ThePavlovianCat Fri 08-Mar-13 07:45:32

Just caught up with last night's episode. All the puddings were crap! I can't think of a single dish this week that is worthy of getting to the banquet (and from the previews of tonight's episode it looks like Matthew and Oliver aren't too impressed either!)

MsNobodyAgain Fri 08-Mar-13 10:16:32

Just caught up too. I have had more powerful sharts than that pathetic 'eruption'.

All the desserts were boring though. Disappointing week this week.

I can't wait to see the judges faces if Ray sticks with the Titanic smoker.

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 19:35:42

I see Oliver agrees that the Titanic think is not funny, or appropriate.
I still do not see how Ian didn't get through over either of these. I don't want either to win- Ray is a miserable git, and Chris is grubby.

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 19:41:34

if voice over woman says 'experienced chef' one more time....

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 19:49:48

oh- here comes the titanic.

Ray really doesn't actually have a sense of humour.

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 19:51:42

I think this may be close- Chris's pudding was a bit crap.

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 19:52:19

and those brown bits look like the 'poo' the other week.

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 19:54:09

Actually- both the puddings were crap.

WTF was Glynn thinking yesterday?

Raahh Fri 08-Mar-13 20:00:45

oh well. Ray. hmm
