I watched the first three episodes - found it extremely boring! Haven't bothered since.

I'm definitely going to watch it. It's so fresh and different and although I'm mid-thirties it's fun to go back to those angst-filled days just after graduation...

Dalek it took me about half-way through season one to really get into the show. The characters get a bit more interesting, I think.

It made me glad I'm not back there! There are far too many similarities to my life and Hannah's!

I watched it on Sky catch up and loved it - very addictive and I'm 42. I will be watching definitely.

it was meant to be the new sex and the city - it wasnt Thank fuck for that as I would rather stick pins in my eyes than watch that crock of mediocre shite.

I love girls, I love it that a young woman had written and directed and etc etc. Sad fir her she is getting a lot of flack for not having fake teeth/tits/arse. I am so looking forward to it. It's actually edgy with complex and interesting characters rather than one dimensional dimwits doing the same tired old stuff. refreshing television.

Loved it, really different and funny. Glad I saw this thread to remind me that it was on!

I'm going to give it another go. I bet she's back with that Adam. It's Big all over again.

I quite like Adam in a lost puppy dog way.

I was a bit ambivalent at the beginning of season 1, but was hooked by the end. Looking forward to season 2. I agree - it makes me feel old but also glad that I'm not in my early 20's anymore and no longer dating fuckwits!

I stood 15 minutes of it and deleted it. I'm annoyed I told my friends to watch it.

I enjoyed it, I'm about 8/10 years older than the characters and can identify with some of the way they are (and be oh so glad I'm not in that stage anymore). Apart from the fact it was set in NYC and was about women, I don't see how it was meant to be the new SATC. Different demographic (actors and audience), different style and totally different income bracket! I found it funny in a cringey way and looking forward to the new series.

I'm 24 and don't identify with them at all. Am I deluding myself? Confused

Maybe you were/are more level headed and less introspective and whiney!

I was a very angsty woman in my early 20s, lots of tortured genius and I should have got a degree in pretentious behaviour as well as English!

Of my friends one is very vocal about how much she hates it. she is basically Hannah though (lives in Bushwick, degree and MFA in creative writing, broke after internships, terrible boyfriend issues and now hates having to do a dull office job which demeans her.) If it wasn't for the fact I know she isn't Lena Dunham I'd think it was her life.

I really enjoyed the first series. But I wasn't hoping it would be SATC as I was not a fan of that. I think Girls is original with good acting, interesting, flawed characters and a snappy script.

How odd - I posted then it disappeared into the interweb somewhere... Anyway, I was just saying that I enjoyed the first ep of the new season. Also I find it really refreshing how comfortable Hannah is in her own skin - she seems to have no body hang-ups at all.

I love this. It's so funny. I like Elijah the best.

This week's episode was ACE! Hannah sobbing over the dawning realisation that what she really wanted was a handsome boyfriend and a gorgeous house was genius ... Finally getting some decent sex... Reference to Friends Josh / Joshua - Hannah as the anti Rachel...reference back to her own parent's relationship with the shower scene rescue...That feeling of meeting someone and escaping from the world for a bit.

The extent to which Lena is happy to be naked is really admirable - makes you realise how rare it is to see a woman with a belly / breasts without implants / cellulite on tv.

I love Girls. Never really had any interest in SATC.

The last one wasn't my favourite episode though, there were some funny bits but it was a bit too, I don't know, introspective and emot-y for me. I enjoy Hannah being quite unlikeable and NOT self aware, I don't need her to be weepy about her issues.

Also, of all the men on the show so far, Joshua interested me by far the least.

I like it and think it is a lot better than SATC. Lena Dunham is amazing.

I love it. I really enjoyed this weeks episode. I have ducked out for a couple of days like that and I remember well the "oh it's all so perfect" and then one out of sync opinion screwing it all up.

Gutted Elijah moved out, hope he's in it again soon.

Oh, I I changed my mind today when I watched the one with the English girl going to meet the in laws? I couldn't stop laughing.

I don't think me and my mates ever took baths together though Hmm
