If not then consider this the start of the thread.

I think the wrong person went out last night. Poor girl, the guy they chose over her really got in by the skin of his teeth!

There was a thread but I think it died a death.

I agree about last night. No wonder he looked haggard and worried, he should be out! I think he got through purely on the fact Michel liked his biscuits, even though they were the wrong shape.

I've caught up with them all in the past couple of days (I hadn't realised it had started :() so I'm completely confused as to who is who now. Was there just the one girl in this week's starting line-up? In that case, was it Nat with the tattoos and black spiky hair? Yes, she definitely should have gone through.at this rate there will be not one woman in the semis.

Loved the four men who got through in previous weeks though.

I'm still recovering from watching Simon prepare that lobster last week!

boak!

Was he the guy who ended up with green gunk ll over his hands? Yuck.

I found the weirdly over-tanned man who completely decimated the duck (I think) far worse. Can't remember his name but even when it went completely wrong, he had a strange smile on his face.

Monica's face was a picture at the duck challenge. A couple of them hacked at it like their lives depended on it and made a total balls up. I'm glad the creepy fella went out (Lee?). He was just strange.

I love Monica but I do find the faces they all pull at each other sometimes a bit odd

and I still think we should adopt the australian masterchef format & presenters

yes nat-thats it-I thought she was great, her attitude was "right" too. I really dont understand their choices at all.

I'm a bit confused as to whos who too-whats the next stage? we have had one lot of semi finals haven't we?

There have been two weeks worth now so four men have gone through.

On the Radio Times site there is a list of the four through so far and the dishes they have made.

Unusually, I'd be happy (so far) for any of them to win.

Oh this is a funny article on the RT site about the number of ballotines that have been made so far. I had noticed that too!

Even DD, who is 9, said "why do they keep doing stuff all round like a big sausage?"

WingDefence · 21/11/2012 17:36

I wonder how easy they are to make? and whether Sainsburys Basics cling film would do the job

I don't know if they are hard-I might have a go one day.

I absolutley love masterchef. I know struggle not to burst in to the buttery base song everytime I see Greg Wallace though.

Do you think they use other clues as to how dedicated the chefs are, such as the number of years since they left the kitchen and got some daylight and fresh air? The chefs with the greyest skin and biggest shadows under their eyes always seem to get through.

I was thinking that until the 21 year old did so well. Don't think he will win though.

Some of the older chefs have fallen into bad habits.

If you haven't seen it, you need the buttery biscuit base song in your life

I quite wanted the Italian to stay in. Not because he particularly cook mind you...

Thanks Twelve. Very entertaining Grin. I am just off to bed and I know that song is going to haunt me all night.

John Torrode is on Australian Masterchef tomorrow if anyone watches it by the way.

Me too about the song - which I have actually bought on iTunes in the past! Blush

Greg definitely said buttery last night and there are other times he pulls those funny faces that remind me of the middle section of the song's video Grin

Glad the 21yo got through but I wasn't as blown away by any of last nights's lot as I was with the 4 who are already through.

The thing that I keep thinking when seeing Greg W is Historical Masterchef...

I also think Nat wuz robbed. Yes, I do think that means no women at all remain now.

What did you all think of last nights decision then? It was definatley the right one for me. Still singing buttery biscuit base (wobble wobble wobble)

Report
MsNobodyAgain · 22/11/2012 12:28

Right decision in my opinion although I think the other chap should be very thankful that he got away with that deconstructed paella crap. It looked awful. And he made a mess of the fish soup - soup on a plate Confused.

I think Monica would have thrown it at him.
