Can't get enough of movies? Then head over to Mumsnet Films!
Given the huge popularity of period serials on TV at the moment, does anyone think that we can convince the BBC to bring back The Duchess of Duke Street?I adored it as a small child, it seemed perfect to me. It's got to be better than more Downton, The Paradise or Upstairs Downstairs.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Duchess_of_Duke_Street
Try again with the link - sorry
I bloody loved the Duchess of Duke Street. I'm in.
Yeah - glad to have you on board Sparkling.I think I wanted to be Louisa, I didn't realise that she was based on a real person.Just a quick reminder or what we've been missing.
Me too. I can remember watching it as a kid
I loved the Duchess of Duke Street. While we're at it, could we have "When the Boat Comes In" back too so I can sing the theme tune in a v bad accent.
Christmas is coming
When The Boat Comes In has been on during the day on Yesterday. It confuses me because it has James Bolam in it wearing a flat cap similar to his shrinking cap from Grandpa In My Pocket. In fact, if they do remake When The Boat Comes In, can one of the characters shrink?
Eek - only 7 left.
"When the Boat Comes In" never seemed to make much sense to my 7yo self, but that's probably because I thought that it was a prequel to "The Likely Lads" .
I've got the Duchess of Duke Street earworm now ....^Pom pom pa dom pom pom pom pom pomDoo doo do do do doLa da di da di da^
Epic fail on the italics
