Hi, first time in this part of the forum.

I've been out of the UK for more than a decade and much of what has been on TV has passed me by. Now I'd like to get some more British comedies for my wife (Japanese and very good at English but not quite native).

She has liked:

The Inbetweeners
The Office
Most series of Benidorm
Gavin and Stacey
Knowing Me Knowing You
I'm Alan Partridge

She hasn't liked:

Only Fools and Horses
The Peep Show
Red Dwarf

Are there any good ones I've missed? All recommendations very much appreciated.

Misfits is good - not classic comedy as such but very funny. Teenage delinquents with superpowers, quite rude.
The Thick of It - political and very funny - best enjoyed by someone familiar with the UK government.
Getting On - NHS set comedy, very understated and best enjoyed by someone who knows the NHS a bit!

And if she is wanting to try some US TV, Big Bang Theory is pure genius!
