Derren brown Apocalypse - Underated! whose with me? no sceptics allowed

Oh man I just finished watching the first part. Thought it was brilliant. One of his best so far. My heart was pumping like crazy for ol'Steve!
Then had a nose at the derren brown thread below, expecting to come across lots of positive oohs and ahhs, and am real disappointed with so many mners disappointing reactions!
Anyone anything positive to say?

I feel a bit sorry for the guy that's the but of it all. The technicalities are very impressive, but I hate practical jokes and this is a very elaborate one. If I were the chap, I'd be absolutely furious when i found out.

I haven't watched as I find the whole idea terrifying. How that guy will cope psychologically afterwards I don't know - I could get PTSD just from reading the write up in the TV pages!

Ah but that's the point, to make it as realistic as possible. So ya have to get family and friends involved. He knew what he was letting himself in for when he signed up. I would most def come out of that experience an absolute mess if I made it to the end, id prob hang myself and that's why they'd never pick someone like me. They'd've had some pretty rigorous testing beforehand. Its kind of like a psychological experiment, and I love all that stuff!

just having a look and really think this is nasty stuff, there is something morally bankrupt about fucking with someone's head this way ... poor guy.

seems the general internet opinion is that it's a stooge set-up and yer man steve is an actor getting his big break and in on the whole thing. I hope so!
