Corrie-do we really have to go through another Tracey Barlow pregnancy?

How repetitive. Is she/isn't she etc.

My heart rather sank at that too.

But perhaps, if she is, they might do it with a bit more medical accuracy this time (eg consultant care, proper monitoring etc).

But as they didn't manage to get consultant care into Izzy's PG, nor proper genetic counselling into an EDS family (as it is an autosomally dominant condition), I'm not holding my breath.

I thought she was faking the pregnancy this time!

I think she is faking

Its just going around in circles.

Even Mary's theme night it was funny the first time but, really as if you can sustain doing one down a tiny street so soon after the first.

There maybe some humour when the guest comes to stay in the pub. Im really liking Sheila Corkhill.

I wish they would get rid of Tracey altogether. The whole baddie routine has really run its course and is just tedious and annoying. Was it only on Mon & Weds this week or have I missed extra ep's?

Too right about Tracey: she should never have been brought back as the forensics weren't challenged at her trial and she admitted that she had struck the blow. Her 'defence' was DV and that was thrown out. Discrediting a forensics expert would have been totally irrelevant in the soundness of her conviction.

Don't forget it's on for an hour tonight starting at 7!!

They hardly mention her transplant either do they? I did love Deirdre threatening kens ow though

I'm loving the Andrew Lloyd Webber Tell Me on a Sunday, please playing in the background in Ken and Deirdres living room. I bet that was in the charts the first time he carried on with Wendy.

I hate this stupid storyline. 'I couldn't kill our baby.' Thanks, that's really helpful to all the girls and woman who don't need judging on ending pregnancies.

FFS.

Not seen it yet, hadn't noticed it was on tonight. All the chopping and changing times, combined with repetitive story lines and weak characterisation, has really put the show in continuing doldrums.

Good point Linerunner. No tact on these progs sometimes.

The girl who plays Tracy is a dreadful actress anyway. The whole pantomime baddie routine is tedious beyond words. Its the same with Janine in EE, yawn.

chipstick, I totally agree. It ruins the suspension of disbelief. Everyone acts in a naturalistic way then Tracey comes along with her clunky dialogue, wooden delivery and bwah ha ha villain's laugh.

It just doesn't gel and ruins every scene. Plus the fact she has no redeeming features make her totally one dimensional and unrealistic.

It's like bringing a panto dame into the middle of a serious play and demanding the audience go along with it.

The Tracy character is so one-dimensional that she's like toothache. Agree that her stories are repetitive and I think the massive age gap between her and Ryan is a bit yuk tbh.

More interested in whether Lewis has done a bunk or not!

Another one who can't stand the Tracy character!

Dh says that disliking her proves she is doing her job right Hmm err no I dislike her as my goldfish is a better actress not because she is so believable in the role.

Last night when her and Ryan were on kens sofa and she was asking him to hold her one last time was the worst piece of acting in the world ever (fact)

I don't understand how she is still in a job?

I hated the 'I must set you free Ryan' and are the writers getting bonuses based on.how many times they say 'up the duff'?

Report
YouOldSlag · 15/10/2012 09:15

Agree with all of the above. It's as if professional writers write everyone else's lines and a 14 year old amateur is writing Tracey's lines.

I didn't watch it when Michelle and Steve were together before but am I right in thinking that they both brought up Amy and Ryan together for a while when Tracey was in prison?

The transplant thing gets my goat. When I got pregnant it was major and changed a fair few things!

Report
euwa · 15/10/2012 20:44

Think they should put Tracey, Dev and Gail in a corner and leave them there for... ever.

Report
EdithWeston · 15/10/2012 21:12

The all-shacked-up together idea is just awful.

And, oh joy! another repetitive storyline with Lewis.

also presuming it is a 2 bed flat, where does poor Amy sleep or does she get left at D & K's. I love Corrie but this lack of detail is really irritating me. Where is Amy for that matter. She is hardly mentioned.

also doesn't Steve have a flat, he and Michelle could live in and let R & T pay rent.

Yes Amy lived at the pub for a while with Steve but it was a totally different actor playing Ryan. also her real son seems to have been forgotton.

Well after tonight I'm this far [makes teeny space gesture] from jacking it in with Corrie. Tracy moving in with Steve, Michelle and Ryan? No. Just no, I really don't think so. This storyline is beyond ridiculous and you can't blame Kate Ford for hamming it up under the circs. She's gone so far over the top she's never coming back.

And Amy? As others have said, she's gone to wherever all the other kids go when their parents' characters have something interesting to do.

Utterly ridiculous. .

whatkungfuthat · 16/10/2012 08:15

Lloyd is in the flat I think. Why don't the writers realise that these Tracey storylines are not entertaining or controversial? They are just dull, annoying and repetitive.
