Sad I know I'm god knows how many years behind you all but, I've been good and watched it faithfully week by week from the beginning. I think it's the best thing I've ever watched. Ever. I will mids that family.

It's the best television show of all time. Without doubt.

I've watched it all the way through 4 times Blush

I'm now getting my teeth into the only show people claim is better. The Wire.

I'm almost dreading tonight!!! I have to say Season 6 didn't grab me as much as the rest and, after all this time, it seems abit rushed??? I have wine and pizza and tissues

The final episode proved very divisive. Lots of complaints and people not 'getting' it. David Chase defended it brilliantly in an article .

Personally? I think it's the perfect ending to the perfect show.

Well I can guess how it ends even though I've been good and not googled. There was no other way. I'm still sad about Janice's husband last week!!! Although, I have never taken to her.

Yeah you're most definitely not meant to love Janice.

She's pretty despicable Grin

Agree-I miss The Sopranos-none of the storylines or characters were predictable-unlike most tv dramas-only Mad Men comes close at the moment.

Even Mad Men is going off the boil. I can't see it going on for much longer.

I love certain aspects of Mad Men but overall find it really slow and, to be frank, a wee bit dull.

No amount of perving at Don Draper and Joan Holloway is making up for it Grin

Loved the Sopranos far more than the Wire. But I probably love Mad Men as much.

I loved the ending, I thought it was the best end to a drama series I'd seen, and still do. So interesting.

I ended up reading online analysis and theories for hours and hours in the days after watching the finale for the first time Blush.

Oh I can guess the ending but I would love a catch up later. I hope I don't get disturbed. There are very few things I can watch twice Curb, Father Ted, Frasier and SATC are about the only things. I just know that I will have to get the boxed set of this.

I still mull over the ending. Was perfect.

We're like you OP, only caught up with it this last year. I miss it muchly. The Wire is excellent, but not as good. We are enjoying Mad Men, but not as good as Tony. The only thing I've seen recently that ticked all the boxes was The Bridge.
Enjoy it!

Breaking Bad is the best thing I've seen in the last few years since The Sopranos.

Lighthouse- I'll look back later and we can all be poncetastic and analyse it to death again Grin

I do like Breaking Bad too, but I'm only on series two of that. Well, just finished it.
I feel, so far though, that the show always seems to ever so slightly excuse the main protagonist, for his bad actions, so he isn't ever quite one hundred percent guilty of anything he does wrong. Which irritates me a little bit. I don't know, it is as if the writers lack conviction a tiny bit. Or they're too scared of the viewer losing sympathy for him.

SPOILERS

I mean like when he decides to kill the guy in series one where he has him captive in the basement, he only actually does it once the guy attacks him, making it more self defensey instead of murdery. Then when he kills Jessie's girlfriend, he doesn't actually kill her, just watches her die.

Well, I'm assuming Meadow was ok. I was glad for the blank screen!! It was abit rushed, the last few episodes. I have enjoyed it more than anything else. That old uncle was a right piece!
