Looks good so far. Sad though.

Think they use the same police set as Luther Grin

Sorry I mean awful as in sad, it's actually pretty good!

It's pretty brutal Sad

The bit with the young girl at the beginning was very uncomfortable viewing.

Not that the copper getting beaten to bits wasn't Blush

It's good but since having DC I am crap with watching stuff like this (brutal).

Rhonda the guy who was in this is England groped her whilst his mates laughed, then followed her into the toilet and started unlocking the toilet door when the cop came in. Not a great description sorry

That's fine thanks ponyo I get the idea of what type of bloke he is (was)

Is the next episode on next Thursday?

Why didn't he shoot him in the leg/arm whatever rather than the head? Then get him arrested. Poor policeman

Report
BurlingtonBertieFromBow · 30/08/2012 21:49

I don't understand. Is the cop trying to get himself arrested for the baddie's murder? He's acting very suspiciously!

The guy who plays Rocksavage's dad is the narrator for Thomas the Tank Engine.

Who was the cot death mother? She looked familiar.

I liked it but couldn't understand what he was doing with his.fingerprints?

Cot death mum was in interview with a vampire, and soldier soldier (I think ) she was much younger then though - I'm sure it's her.,.... Totally gripping stuff!
The good cop guy was in hollyoaks years ago and played a friend of Gary Lucy's character (I think) as someone who spiked drinks.... He was also in a drama series with David Tennant a couple of years ago...,

Looking forward to next episode!

Really enjoyed it. Looking forward to next week. Wasn't the main character also in Luther? Hoping for another series of that though it looks unlikely if he's doing this.

I thought this was really good. Will be watching again.

What I really want to know though, is when is Luther back?

ILovePonyo? I think the 'Good Cop' was thinking in 'bloke' mode which being one I'll do my best to explain; He shot the Criminal in the chest & killed him partly as the 'fight or flight reaction' & it was him or the baddie & partly as If I'm right? It was part of a revenge idea he had for said Head Crim' luring his Beat Partner into that death trap. In short he used himself as bait & lured said Crim' to His death in return - but that? Was just the beginning..........

I suspect the rest of the episodes from here on in will consist of him on the beat during the day & skulking around dressed all in black at night & as it showed him counting off bullets at various points towards the end of this episode re' above mentioned revenge plot? I suspect he'll during said nighttime excursions gradually pick off the other members of the gang that 'did' his old partner whilst doing his best not to get caught in the act - If I had to put money on it? I'd say the bearded, moustachioed one who taunted him in the prison at the end & accused the cop of threatening him? Is next on the hit list - we shall see..................

Further to all that? I have a feeling that the blonde Woman Cop whose now his new partner will play a big part in the coming episodes also & I think before long she'll find out exactly what her new partners up to during his nighttime 'walks'; Something tells me that very soon - romantically, professionally or both? Those two are going to become rather entangled somehow in the midst of all this & if tonight's anything to go by? It probably won't end very end well.............

Agreenie? I think Cot Death Mum was played by Leah Hackett? The head baddie who copped it (pun not intended) so early on? Was played by one of The great actors right now - Stephen Graham (who I initially mistook for Craig Charles for some strange reason Confused), the Good Cop of the title was portrayed by Warren Brown with his father being played by Michael Angelis. The blonde woman Officer is played by Kerrie Hayes & IIRR? One of the two blonde girls you see upstairs as that death trap was set up? Is played by Lily Loveless who was in Skins for a time a while back. Hope that little lot helps Blush

Sorry don't know Just Why I typed so much back there re' a TV programme - I don't Normally do that but for some reason? This one got stuck in my head & would Not go away; As I said? I'm not normally like that but then tonight/last night? Has been Very weird all round for me. Hope the rest fo the series lives up to the first episode as tonight's was Very good & well acted if a little OTT in plot terms at times. Here's hoping.................

Warren Brown the Good Cop was also in Luther. Hence my poor joke about the set up thread.

I have never watched Dexter but am assuming something similar in cop killing baddies. Who knows.

I did like it though.

They have made a new series of Luther I think. Well Wiki says so and am sure I have seen Idris in some BBC adverts.

Doesn't anyone else remember the confined-to-bed dad from The Liverbirds - he played 'our Lucian' (the one with the rabbits!). Made me feel really old remembering him when he was in mid twenties (and I was an early teen) and now he's looking like an old man!????

think he hasn't got rid of the gun because he's got a bullet earmarked for each of the 'hoods' involved in his friend's savage beating-up/murder.

Was the fingerprint part not because he'd been in the crime-scene when his friend/partner got beaten-up and his prints would need to be taken to eliminate them from the forensics....Handy that - he will professionally be exonerated thus clouding the fact that he went back as a civvy and executed the chief 'hood'.

Personally think he was full of mashed-up rage about his 'ex' as well as possible PTSD which made him behave in that reckless manner in murdering the chief 'hood.'
