OMG, I watched that last night too. Absolutely heart-rending. Sad

And, yes, very disturbing - bearing in mind it was all sanctioned by the regime at the time in cahoots with the church.

When the Texan guy was found not to be the long lost son, I nearly cried as well.

extraordinary docu. i studied spanish and so learned about sp history but nothing has ever brought home the strength of franco's influence the way that did. i cried when result was negative! tempted to read more about it but might make myself weep again...

I found it shocking. I couldn't believe as well that this was going on until as late as 1990 - almost 20 years after Franco's death (he died in 1975)!
Also found it incredible that a magazine exposed the story in 1982 and yet nothing was done. All those poor people Sad.
