That's an hour of my life I'll never get back.....

georgie22 Tue 13-Sep-11 22:45:29

That is exactly what dh said! Have to say a huge disappointment compared to Waking The Dead. Don't think I'll bother next week.

thenightsky Tue 13-Sep-11 22:49:47

Oh, it wasn't too bad. Fairly predictable though.

scurryfunge Tue 13-Sep-11 22:50:44

What a load of old rubbish. It annoyed the hell out of me.

IndridCold Wed 14-Sep-11 09:19:08

It was total rubbish, and in fact was just BORING. DH and I talked through most of it.

skorpion Wed 14-Sep-11 11:26:18

Glad it's not just us! Pile of rubbish. Shame, as I really liked her character in Waking the Dead...

warmandwooly Wed 14-Sep-11 11:31:15

I switched off and watched the bake off prog that was on whilst I watched Holby. Didn't appeal at all after about 15 mins.

slartybartfast Wed 14-Sep-11 11:37:48

That is an hour of my life i will never get back.

i said the very same thing.

what a load of crap

missmogwi Wed 14-Sep-11 11:40:44

It was utter crap, very disappointed as liked her in Waking The Dead. Her voice over bits were making me cringe!

sistersootica Wed 14-Sep-11 11:41:42

it was conkers angry. Very disappointed.

TobyLeWolef Wed 14-Sep-11 11:43:59

Yep, we started to watch it. About 1/4 of an hour through, when we'd both made a few frowny faces, I said "is it just me or is this really dull?"

The relief on my DP's face was immense. We watched David Blaine be a smarmy creep-ball on E4 instead.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

IndridCold Wed 14-Sep-11 12:08:22

You see, I didn't even notice the voice over bits, that's how engaged I was!
Maybe I had had too much wine.

Smellslikecatpee Wed 14-Sep-11 12:48:19

voice over bits very cheesy

am a bit 50/50

really like her character, so am hoping it will get better

verytellytubby Wed 14-Sep-11 12:49:39

Turned over after 10 minutes

deemented Wed 14-Sep-11 12:54:19

Oh, i had wanted to watch this, but i missed it.

I'm glad i did now.

bonkers20 Wed 14-Sep-11 12:56:36

I enjoyed it! I didn't hear the voice over bits though.

Oh well, I've always danced to my own tune.

bonkers20 Wed 14-Sep-11 12:57:26

Not as good as Doc Marten though grin

TobyLeWolef Wed 14-Sep-11 13:01:16

Oh, God. I am horribly addicted to Doc Martin blush

bonkers20 Wed 14-Sep-11 13:36:22

Is it bad to be addicted to Doc Marten? Is it on a par with owning a toilet brush?

TobyLeWolef Wed 14-Sep-11 13:44:52

Hmmm. I don't own a toilet brush, so perhaps not.

However, in my circle of friends/colleagues/family, Doc Martin is seen as the equivalent of Heartbeat or some such, in terms of uncool old-lady programmes.

LordOfTheFlies Wed 14-Sep-11 14:33:47

I watched it last night because I was waiting for the washing machine to finish.

No storyline to speak of, kept waiting for it to turn a corner.

Won't bother next week TBH.

blodyn83 Wed 14-Sep-11 14:41:28

Really disappointed as I usually love these types of programmes. The acting was poor, script was even worse and I can barely remember the characters they made so little an impression. Will not bother next week.

P.s. Is there some kind of by one get one free offer on ex Hollyoaks actors at the moment? Saw on the trailer for next episode that they've got another one making an appearance. Talk about scraping the barrel...

Voidka Wed 14-Sep-11 15:57:55

I thought it was terrible.

One policeman working the whole case? The scientist girl just going along to the hospital and them just accepting her with open arms.

Also, surely the labs would have to be a bit more organised than that to be able to safeguard evidence from contamination?

It was as if they though Keith Allen and a bit of gore could carry it along.

mandoo Wed 14-Sep-11 16:00:46

Terrible acting and very predictable and totally unrealistic. I lasted about 20 mins. What a shame as I loved waking the dead.
