we are off at the end of the month and I want to buy a cheap box set for us to watch but have no inspiration.

We have watched in the past few years prison break (OK but not special), lost (love it!), x files (old un but good un), Jonathan creek (missed it first time round and quite enjoyed it), bleak house (enjoyed), the lost room, the 4400, and are currently watching the killing on TV. DH is sci fi (esp stargate) obsessed (but I'm not Hmm ). We have a 6mo dd so chances are we don't be able to sit and concentrate on anything for any decent length of time so something that you don't have to concentrate on every second would be good.

Any ideas?

have you seen the series David Duchovny has done since the x-files called Californication? It's entirely different, a bit rude but your dd is too young to notice and funny. Episodes are 30/40 mins I think.

Csi Miami. Sherlock (latest BBC one). Spooks (love that). Hustle.

I'm going to keep thinking. I love a good box set! Do you like comedy? The office, peep show etc

Grays Anatomy is fab - I have loved Prison break and 24 over the years. Also adore Spooks.

Mad Men! It's brilliant. Watched all four series and started when we were on holiday.

If you want some comedy, I really recommend Modern Family. Great light relief.

Both of those are US ones, of course.

mini spiral looks really good - will put that on my to watch list but boring dh doesn't 'do' subtitles Angry . I get really annoyed about this as I love a bit of world cinema

inti we've seen prison break, 24 and spooks too - all v good Grin

lady I tried to watch mad men when it first came out but just did't like it. I have no idea why as on paper it's just my kind of thing Hmm . I did like all the outfits though Grin

brambly am debating re: the wire. I hear mixed things about it being fabbo to the max or really bad so bit Confused

A Town called Eureka - quirky and might satisfy the sci fi dh but its not too sci fi-y
