I would think a lot of women will refuse induction after seeing this.

Its disgraceful the lack of care that that Asian women suffered. 9Serena)
I am posting because i suffered very badly during the birth of my daughter, i wanted an epidural and didnt get one. I felt I suffered post traumatic stress disorder.
I am watching the programme now and that maternity staff should have been sued. They admitted fault but had no reason why Sernea was left alone.
I will tell you why.......its called negligence.
Whoever the staff were at the time shouldnt have been nurses at all ,,,, they should be sweeping the streets....Bastards!

Every woman who has received poor care MUST complain otherwise nothing changes.

That poor guy :(

Watched this whole programme thinking, what a disgrace for a hospital. I wasnt surprised at all when it was queens hospital. Its constantly in the local paper for one thing or another.

The sad thing is, the nearest other hospital, is being threatened with closure, so queens maternity unit will have double the patients, which makes it very hard to see how things will improve :(

Just seen this on the sky news website.

news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Video-Patients-Who-Recently-Used-Maternity-Unit-At-Queens-Hospital-In-Romford-Say-Ward-Is-A-Danger/Article/201106316013099?lpos=UK_News_Carousel_Region_1&lid=ARTICLE_16013099_Video%3A_Patients_Who_Recently_Used_Maternity_Unit_At_Queens_Hospital_In_Romford_Say_Ward_Is_A_Danger

It talks about another mum who was in Queens in July 2010 and her contractions were monitored by a faulty machine. I was in Queens maternity in July 2010, I can't help thinking, that could have been me!

That being said, the midwife I had during labour was fantastic, one of the nicest people I have ever met, so not all the midwives at Queens are completely incompetent.
