Is anyone else watching this ?

I am LOVING it!! Its just a shame that it is only a six parter. Hoping that we get another series of it.

Yes I am watching it. Didn't realise it was only a 6 parter though. That ex boyfriend is a nasty piece of work isn't he - makes my skin crawl!

yes he is utterly vile. hope something nasty happens to him in the end.

Rupert Graves always plays smooth baddies (or at best unsympathetic characters as in Single Father) - wonder if he gets fed up with it?

Was he a bit more likeable in Sherlock? A bit gruff, granted, but not a 'baddie' or too unsympathetic.

I still don't like him much though I'm afraid.

I love the series - I hope Janet leaves her grumpy husband.

Ah, good point LadyClarice - I felt vaguely I'd seen him as basically a goody in something, but couldn't remember what. How could I have forgotten the wonderful Sherlock?? All three of them were excellent.

The RG character is horrible, but then I don´t like Rachel much, either.

Why the hell would she want his flat rather than look after herself?

I love Scott and Bailey! I stumbled on to the first episode by accident and I was hooked. I really hope another series is commissioned.

I think Rachel is meant to be an unsympathetic character. I think she's impetuous and makes some really bad decisions in her personal life, but it that volatility that makes her a good cop iyswim? I'm more interested in the Lesley Sharpe character though, she looks like there are quite a few skeletons lurking in her cupboard.

It makes such a refreshing change to see cops portrayed as real people, and the policing procedure is also quite mundane (compared to other police dramas). And that Scott and Bailey have character flaws (like every other person) rather than self-imposed defects like alcoholism or drug-taking etc etc.

I thought the second episode warmed up nicely and and looking forward to the rest of it.

Does no-one else find the whole baby loss totally unrealistic?

I'm massively disappointed by the whole series to be honest, I was expecting great things, and it's just a bit...crap.

Why was the miscarriage unrealistic?

If you're referring to her continuing to work, then grief does do funny things to people. I rejoined work two days after a stillbirth, insisting I was all right and that I needed to work...right till I had a spectacular breakdown four months after the event.

I'm enjoying it.
Reminds me of Cagney and Lacey.

Enjoying it immensely, and all the 'personal stuff' in between.
I reckon it's Jeff the dead girl's brother who killed her. Any takers?

Enjoying it, but can't get passed that Scott and Bailey's boss was Alan Partridges Ukranian(?) girlfriend Smile

I agree - Jeff is definately very shifty.

I cant get passed the boss being the Feng Shui woman in the direct line ads :)

I love this too

Suranne Jones (although she tends to always play the same kind of character) is a charismatic actress

I have no idea if she is tall, short, fat or thin, I am mesmerised by her eyes Smile

I love how tough both the women are, but vulnerable too
