oh, also add to my list - Friends, Law and order/ CSI, the office, Gavin and Stacey, Holby City, Casualty, that bollocks where they try to teach popstars to sing opera or conduct orchestras hmm

actually it would be far simpler and shorter to say what I do watch grin

roundtoit Sat 11-Jun-11 22:22:04

would be easier to list what i do watch
new tricks
have i got news for you
who do you think you are
i find it harder and harder to find anything worth watching these days, Saturday nights are probably the worst of the week . cannot stand any talent type shows and reality shows , used to watch a few soaps a few years ago but decided they were too miserable and stopped watching, actually its very liberating not being stuck in front of a tv watching miserable people living miserable lives.

Ragwort Sun 12-Jun-11 08:49:28

roundtoit - you make such a good point about how liberating it is not to watch rubbish on TV - I get so fed up with people 'complaining' about how awful tv is yet still watching it. Is it so difficult to turn the thing off?

Anyway, with Mumsnet who needs TV grin.

Shrek - couldn't believe it recently when a friend not that much younger than me was getting so excited as she had tickets for Take That - I think I had a frozen smile on my face in utter disbelief [old fart emoticon]. Would be my idea of hell on earth to sit through a concert.

I barely watch any TV either. My list is pretty much limited to Outnumbered, QI andSpringwatch (because I an RSPB member and it is currently being filmed at my local reserve)

Sometimes I watch things like Coast, or Julia Bradbury's canal walks, or the odd programme about archaeology. But I'm not worried if I miss them. I did watch Downton Abbey, Upstairs Downstairs and South Riding over the winter. I used to watch the news but I tend to listen to it on Radio 4 now.

Sometimes when people are discussing soaps and reality TV shows I feel like I live on a different planet.

Oh, and I'm not going to see Take That either, despite the fact that most of the mums at school seem to be. I didn't like them first time round (I was too busy crying over Kurt Cobain), I don't mind them as background music now, but I wouldn't want to go to a concert.

Do you not find it ironic that you are all posting on a ''tellyaddicts'' thread about watching hardly any telly?

P.S. Above comment just observational not having a go smile
