I am just marking my place. I am going to start re-watching from the beginning, I think. Am planning a day of nothing but WW watching in a couple of weeks.

Good idea, I was thinking we needed a separate forum thread.

It was heartbreaking, the scene where he buys his wife her dream house for when the twins arrive.

I was shouting, 'just take the damn house!' and when she tells him that he isn't happy enough for her or their children.

Carol, can I get a a double shot, light on the soy, cinnamon-chia mochachino, no whip, sprinkles and another shot on top, thanks.

Marking my place. I was literally bereft when I finished the final series.

Pinkjenny - you know the cure for that? Start watching them all again! That's what I'm doing! 11 Episodes from season one watched since Monday night Blush

Hello all - I LOVE the west wing. So pleased there is a MN appreciation society still going strong - may help fill the Oval Office sized hole left in my life when it ended...

I have the final series of The Sopranos to watch, then I'm starting ER from the beginning. But I am getting my WW fix by reading that WikiQuotes link. I really must do some work! People must think I'm insane sitting here laughing to myself.

Bloody marvellous idea for a thread! I might have to dig them all out again, last watched during the last stages of pregnancy last summer.

It might take me a while to get through the whole lot though, based on my approx amount of time a day to watch tv by myself being roughly 10 minutes. Hmm

If DH is about its currently Dexter season 3 in the DVD player.

CaveMum - great idea. Like Bumperlicioso I reckon we could fill a forum...

Can I do trivia from random seasons?

I fear I went into spoiler mode on the other thread with my question about Amy/marriage incentives/Josh's mobile in the stew/why Amy lost her job as a result of Josh's strategy.

Then there's Baker. Why did Santos insist on him being VP? Apart from the fact that imo he looks like a lizard, I though he was v underhand at the convention - "Oh, I'm being drafted...for the good of the party...for the American people...I'm as surprised as anyone..."
The VP being the presumptive nominee 4/8 years later?

Placemarking.

I had planned an ER rewatch during BF marathons but am tempted by WW now. Love it!

I'm in Grin

can never work out who I like the most. Probably Jed, but also CJ. Never a huge fan of Donna, til right at the end.

I adore Josh. And Leo. And Jed Bartlett. And Toby. I fear I will remain single until I die as any man would have to be a mix of all of them (not Sam. I was never a Sam man). But Josh's looks and Leo's dry sense of humour and Jed's wisdom and Toby's cynicism would make for the perfect partner...

I liked Lily, who was Abbey's CoS in series 1. Always thought it was a shame we didn't see her again. Ditto Mandy's assistant, who seemed a lot nicer and less arse-ish than her.

Of course, if the West Wing had a 'jump the shark' moment it would have to be when it turned out CJ slept with Hoynes. As. If.

Yes there was a similar liason between Mary the national security adviser and Leo when she was a CIA operative in Cuba- hefty hint that she shagged him anyway. There's a scene when Leo explicitly says he doesn't remember much about Cuba and did they meet? I got the impression he was trying to avoid embarrassment, and actually did remember.

There were alot of new characters in later episodes some of whom didn't really add up.

Report
tribpot · 19/05/2011 18:44

You mean Kate? Kate-and-Will Kate? Jeezus. There was also an implication that Annabeth and Leo were shagging too - so unnecessary (and v like John Wells to overload good drama with shag-plots, a la ER).

Sorry yes Kate, the actress' name is Mary. Yes the whole thing with annabeth was a bit ewwww

Another thing was - how old do you think CJ was at the end? Cos I put her in her late 40's, maybe 50's yet she has a baby.

Report
Northernlurker · 19/05/2011 18:49

When Leo was in Cuba wasn't he in his drugs/booze phase and that's why he was odd about remembering it? I think Kate had maybe done something 'lethal' and top secret?
I don't think Annabeth and Leo were actually shagging - just cannoodling and courting.
Dh and I work our way through and then start all over again. Just in series 1 atm.
