Well my baby was born vaginally at 30 weeks on the wednesday and was told i had to leave on the sunday. But that was after an assessment of my mental health. How long she been in?

Well, it must be over a week now, think she had her on the live episode last Thursday.

well they should be sending her home by now but telly is never realistic is it?!

But she had been in the gas explosion too so maybe its because of that.

I would like to know why there were only 4 medical staff in the room; i had ten people(and it was normal delivery except being early) in the room

When I had dd1 she was in special care and on the little babies ward for two weeks and I was in the entire time with her - that was 21 years ago though - I was quite outraged when they sent me and ds home the next day ten years later!

I donor know the answer to your question but have to say fix giving birth is my fav soap birth!

Best friend discharged within 24 hrs with both her very Prem babies. Heartbreaking to leave them In scbu but she was there from very early to very late every day without fail.

Ds was born at 35 weeks and we were both kept in for a week, same for ds3 born 9 years later.

DS was born on the Saturday morning at 35 weeks, and went to SCBU - I managed to stay in with him till he was discharged on the Friday, but was really lucky that there was no one else on SCBU near going home, so could stay in their rooming in room.

I stayed in hosp for 9 days with prem twins... hosp do have a transition ward where mums and low-dependancy scbu babies can stay together though.

Where I am, you can stay (mother) 10 days on the ward once your DC has been diagnosed after the birth.

After 10 days you are obliged to leave even if your baby is still in SCBU.

Which means you have to leave your baby in the hands of the SCBU staff.

I broke my heart to live him in there for so long but it's not forever.

Just hard to face at the time.

My PFB was in SCBU for weeks.

I had 10days in-the maximum that I could as I was fine.

I would say its pretty normal for Fizz to be still in. They wouldnt kick you out with your baby still ventilated.

What gets me is the double bed? is that the norm these days?

I dont know where Corrie is going now tbh after last weeks excitement. Im surprised Tyrone found out so quickly I thought it would be a Christmas day drama. What will that be then, I wonder?

the double bed was the norm in our local hospital when I had DD 23 years ago.

The only follow up from the tram crash will be Fiz's baby making it or not/Fiz finding out about Charlotte, and Becky stealing the money from the corner shop.

I honestly thought they were saving Tyrone finding out until Christmas Day too.

DS1 was born by cs at 33+5 and I was in for 17 days after. I did have two horrendous infections though

2 or 3 days where i am v harsh.

In my case at 29 weeks I had 4 days, and DS was ventilated. They don't let you stay until they are off the ventilator at least not that I know of. Also at 26 weeks I would expect she'll still be ventilated at christmas but this is soap.

BUT there was a double bed in the transition room.

Ans I agree 4 people. No chance I had over 10 for DS and 4 for me.

And having a photo before the baby was ventilated. That was the bit that made me scream at the telly

Ds born at 26 weeks at c2pm and I self-discharged at 10pm. He was in NICU, I wouldve been on postnatal ward with all the fullterm babies. Not a chance in hell! Different I guess with a baby closer to term when you'd get to stay in to establish feeding etc.

Though ds only ventilated 24 hours (and i got a quick kiss first too!) so that's possible hilda!
