Beatles week?

Mouseface Fri 19-Nov-10 15:47:34

Oh dear.

This really is Jedwood all over again isn't it?

They stayed in waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. 'Talented' singers went out because of them and sour grapes were served each and every week.

Wagner needs to go home IMO but someone, somewhere loves him and keeps him in. To piss Syco off? Maybe. Enough though now, surely?

<dreams of Matt Cardle singing 'Come Together' just to her> grin

GetOrfMoiLand Fri 19-Nov-10 15:54:41

Oh god I loathe the beatles.

Bloody norah.

Can't just imagine bloody Wagner murdering 'she loves me'

Mouseface Fri 19-Nov-10 16:30:26

We record it (thank God for Sky+) then watch it back so can skip the shite bits like Wagner.

Well, everyone except Matt!! grin

gregssausageroll Fri 19-Nov-10 16:33:23

Well, if rumour is true it is a double eviction this week so if Katie doesn't go even I will start to think Simon has the whole thing fixed.

bigchris Fri 19-Nov-10 16:34:38

There's a rumour every week about a double eviction

gregssausageroll Fri 19-Nov-10 16:44:36

There has to be soon though as there are too many people left against the number of weeks for the show to run,

SuePurblybiltByElves Fri 19-Nov-10 17:03:51

From the link:

According to the Sun newspaper, Katie is to sing ‘Help’, Cher Lloyd will sing John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and Matt Cardle will sing ‘Come Together’.

One Direction will perform ‘All You Need Is Love’, Mary Byrne does ‘Something’, Rebecca Ferguson has ‘Yesterday’ and Paije Richardson ‘Let It Be’.

The highlight though will surely be Brazilian novelty act Wagner taking on a medley of ‘Get Back’, ‘Hey Jude’ and a song that’s not by The Beatles, ‘Hippy, Hippy Shake’.

There should be a law against it. Wanger singing Hey Jude sad.

TinselinaBumSquash Fri 19-Nov-10 17:06:00

Wagner singing Hey Jude <weeps> i love that song.... sad

Wagner is staying in becuase then when he goes up again Fakey Weasel the public wont complain when he goes.

Matt Cardle tweeted me the other day i nearly wept with girlish glee... i really do need to get a life don't blush

LittleWhiteWolf Fri 19-Nov-10 17:06:08

Hmm, will Cher rap along to that mawkish wank Imagine?

GetOrfMoiLand Fri 19-Nov-10 17:08:29

Cher's song will be a thrilling mash up between Imagine and the rap parts of Mis-teeq's 'one night stand'

I reckon

OracleInaCoracle Fri 19-Nov-10 17:08:38

oh christ, wtf is cher doing singing Imagine. NOT a beatles song. Lennon, totally different (and if she raps I may have to throw my wine through the tv) was hoping rebecca might do something a bit more upbeat this week (although i still lurve her) and agree about wagner. ridiculous now.

Showaddywaddy Fri 19-Nov-10 17:09:37

Yo yo yo magine all the mofo people living life in da getto.

I do NOT like the Beatles.

SuePurblybiltByElves Fri 19-Nov-10 17:10:56

They must want Katie Weasel out though - Help is not a kind choice for her.

GetOrfMoiLand Fri 19-Nov-10 17:11:27

Thank god someone else dislike the beatles, thought I was the only pariah on the earth who dislike the floppy haired tossers.

Vote for wanger to sing yellow submarine.

Think Cher will be in 'serious' mode whilst singing Imagine.

DirtyMartini Fri 19-Nov-10 17:12:28

cor. It's starting to feel like the same issues dominate every programme -- it doesn't really matter what anyone sings.

Not that it has really ever been about the singing, I suppose (well, not only).

I am a bit sick of "themes", tbh. Ho ho at Katie singing "Help", though.

SuePurblybiltByElves Fri 19-Nov-10 17:15:21

shock at Showads and Getorf. Floppy haired tossers indeed shock

Andie20521 Fri 19-Nov-10 17:16:59

May be Cher will do this version of imagine

cakeywakey Fri 19-Nov-10 17:17:16

Do you reckon that Cheryl will admit that "I'm not familiar with the song." this week like she did last week with one of Elton John's wel known hits? grin

Showaddywaddy Fri 19-Nov-10 17:18:56

They're just so dull. Heard one terrible, contrived, music-by-numbers song by the Beatles, you've heard them bloody all. Drone drone, high pitched ooooh, drone, drone.

They're just vaguely musical egos, singing along to some dirge of a tune.

X Factor themes are crap. They should go the whole hog and have tarts and vicars. Or medieval night when we can chuck rotten veg and execute the bottom 2 in the village square.

JennyHaniver Fri 19-Nov-10 17:19:06

I'm still getting over Aiden leaving - i loved him. Although i will admit he killed 'Rocket Man'.

Andie - i think you are right.

GetOrfMoiLand Fri 19-Nov-10 17:21:16

I think there is a load of emperor's new clothes about the beatles.

Let's face it, they are just Gerry and the Pacemakers with better haircuts.

If fate hadn't handed them success 'can't buy me love' would just be the theme tune for the mersey ferry.

JennyHaniver Fri 19-Nov-10 17:21:19

Here's the Vicars Showaddywaddy.

Now we just need the tart...

SuePurblybiltByElves Fri 19-Nov-10 17:21:59

The themes are crap. Medieval would be good, as would Sea Shanties.

GetOrfMoiLand Fri 19-Nov-10 17:22:14

Plus have always wanted to poke Paul McCartney in the eye whenever he does that hyper annoying little boy/goggle eyed face.

Heather Mills should have clouted him in the kisser with her prosthetic limb.
