Isn't it just brilliant?

Spero Sun 07-Nov-10 23:26:12

Yes. It's so sad he's dead.

sharbie Sun 07-Nov-10 23:29:28

It is.
I am so enjoying watching it with ds who hasn't seen it before.

Best tv comedy ever imvho.

We have the complete box set on dvd but I still get a little thrill of excitement if it randomly pops up on some cable channel.

Which episode are you watching?

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 00:34:45

the hitler one and before that the plane one
grin

Best cure for the blues ever. It should be on prescription.

FairyArmadillo Mon 08-Nov-10 00:39:39

Love it. Kept me sane during last week of pregnancy when my sense of humour tried to abandon me.

lazarusb Mon 08-Nov-10 17:53:49

It's the best. Not one bad character in it. Love Jack- I have several 'Jack' moments each week.grin

Meglet Mon 08-Nov-10 17:54:46

I can't even read the title without grin.

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 17:59:32

what are yr fave episodes - the two that were on last night were great

FiveGoMadInDorset Mon 08-Nov-10 18:03:00

We call DS Father Jack as he does an oustanding impression of him for a 2 yr old.

Squitten Mon 08-Nov-10 18:39:36

I love Father Ted - the one where they get trapped in the biggest lingerie department in Ireland is excellent.

My Dad hates it because he lives in exactly the little Irish country backwater that they are mocking grin

ASecretLemonadeDrinker Mon 08-Nov-10 18:52:00

love it grin Named my gormless yet comical Jack Russell Dougal grin

nameymcnamechange Mon 08-Nov-10 19:44:01

I love the one where they go on holiday to the tiny caravan "these cows are close, the others are far away" featuring Graham Norton and the sewage lorry.

I really love the one with Bishop Brennan and the rabbits.

And, of course, the Eurovision song contest. Who can forget My Lovely Horse?

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 19:45:12

y y the riverdance - i think gn was brilliant in that one.

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 19:46:02

and the victor meldrew one grin

TheFallenMadonna Mon 08-Nov-10 19:48:17

And the Speed one, with the milk float grin

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 19:49:21

love that milkman and all his babies grin

theagedparent Mon 08-Nov-10 19:49:31

When Father Stone came to stay - brilliant

TheFallenMadonna Mon 08-Nov-10 19:49:59

When Dermot Morgan died I saw Frank Kelly (Fr Jack) being interviewed and he was a complete luvvie. It was most disconcerting when all you expect him to say is "drink, feck".

PaulineMole Mon 08-Nov-10 19:50:37

"kicking bishop brennan up the arse" is just perfection

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 19:51:41

oh they are all great i must get the boxset

father jack being like that in rl just makes it even funnier on screen

nameymcnamechange Mon 08-Nov-10 19:55:12

You will never regret the box set purchase. Can you wait til Christmas? Would make an easy Christmas present for someone to get you.

sharbie Mon 08-Nov-10 19:56:40

good idea or maybe i can persuade ds that he would like it for christmas wink
