Mine are older than that now, but looking back, i think they went about 10pm- 10.30pm.

My son suffers from insomnia, so although he would be in his room, he would not be asleep for ages.

It had to be by 10.30 or he had great difficulty getting up in the morning. I have never mentioned the bedtime of their mates and neither have they-it isn't relevent. They have to leave the house for a bus at 7.30am so they can't stay up too late.

She's never told me. Presumably because she knows it wouldn't fly in this house, he he.

But - she is definitely a morning person and gets up early to do a paper round. So she is pretty tired come the evening and often goes to bed earlier.

Between 10.00 - 10.30. I start telling him at 10.00 to start getting ready, he then faffs around, I keep yelling and normally the light goes off by 10.30. It is becoming the bane of my life as it has now turned into a battle of wills.

dd is same age as your ds Beety. She goes at about 10.30 - 11 but isn't able to sleep. She drops off at around midnight and is up at 6. She doesn't say what time her mates go to bed but as she doesn't MSN them after about 10 I'd say it's earlier than her.

About 9.45 to 10 on school nights though often still awake at 11. Often find him doing stuff on mobile phone under the duvet late at night. Sometimes get very bored and fed up of trying to control and moderate everything and just let him suffer the consequences of being tired next day.
We also have the eating rubbish problem but can't control what he spends pocket money on, or what his friends give him.

Still maintain xbox live is massive amount of fun and I would have loved to be able to do this when their age.

Ds1 (15) goes to bed at 9 because he's up at 6 for school. He knows if he stays up much later he's very tired the next day, so goes up without a fuss generally. He stays up later occasionally to watch a football match, but not very often.

Apparently all of his friends stay up much later so I suggested he might want to move in with one of them if he preferred....he's still here

DS1 goes to bed around 10.00 on a school night - including Fridays as he has matches on Saturday.
TBH he usually takes himself off to bed as he has a tough week including homework and trainning. Between 9 and 10 he relaxes and either watches tv/chats with us or does msm or games with his friends.
I don't have the food problem.He doesn't eat crap because he is very serious about his sport.
Pretty lucky tbh but we have been really clear about the rules since he was young and he likes the structure now as it works for him.

Usually about 10.30pm, though I'm trying to get this nearer to 10pm. Weekend nights it's usually nearer midnight. He doesn't tend to argue about bedtime - just says something agreeable like, 'OH yes, give me two minutes'... and then does nothing. Once he's gone up he often then reads/potters about in his room until I have a go at him whenever I notice after 11pm.

He's never mentioned mates bedtimes, I wouldn't take any notice of them in any case.

Frequant flouting of rules though, taking account of how late her b@%* mobile keeps beeping imagine friends dont sleep at all.
