that's precisely what I say Custardo. Just seems a bit like double standards, but then easy to justify the differences I suppose.

my Dad always used to say "do as I say and not as I do" which drove me nuts, so I guess that's why I am lookign for an alternative - although I think the DAISNAID approach is the right one. I'm waiting for the day when my DS, in response to the "too much overdue coursework therefore no more MSN til your attitude improves" tirade says " and no more MN for you til the house is tidy, all the ironing is done" etc etc.

BB, that's perfect (tho seriously doubting the intelligence of the LiloKids who have yet to ask why I nag them to death over the state of their rooms when ours is, erm, not much better....
