My niece is going to be 19 soon. I'm stumped on what to buy her. She goes to art college but has made it clear she wants nothing for that as isnt carrying on next year. She is interested in music and plays a few instruments. Shes not your 'average' teenager either, she's very interesting and I enjoy spending time with her, so I want to get her something quite personal rather than bath stuff. I know the sort of bands she's into if this helps. Any ideas appreciated

i think at that age I would ask her for a few ideas. Most teenagers don't have much money but know very clearly what they want.

How much do you want to spend?

What's she going to be doing when she leaves art college?

or to one of the festivals/big concerts that they do in the summer if you are happy to spend a bit more.

Some student travel vouchers to help to gap year or travel kit.

really good speakers for her ipod/computer if she is into her music on her computer etc.
