And she said thank you at the time of receiving it, would you expect/hope for another acknowledgment later along the lines of "spent the money at a restaurant, was great, thanks again"?

No,not necessary as she’s already said thanks. For sure it’d be nice if she elaborated but teens dont always

Nope. DS has just been away I gave him £100 And he thanked me at the time. He has mentioned some things he bought whilst away but I wouldn’t expect another thank you.

CorianderLord Sat 15-Aug-20 23:52:28

No, you thank a person once as standard. Any extra thanks are unnecessary

I’m always a bit hmm about people who need multiple thank you’s as it makes it seem that maybe they begrudge what they’ve given or want you to feel like you owe them something.

I wouldn't expect it but I think DS would say thanks again

Notglam Sat 15-Aug-20 23:58:14

No I wouldn’t

negomi90 Sun 16-Aug-20 00:00:27

No - she thanked you when she got it.
Presumably she then added it to other holiday money she has from other sources and is thus wouldn't be able to say what your money actually went on.

AldiAisleofCrap Sun 16-Aug-20 00:02:46

No I wouldn’t.

Thehogfatherstolemycurry Sun 16-Aug-20 00:05:10

No, they said thank you why would they need to keep saying it?

TheSmallAssassin Sun 16-Aug-20 00:10:29

No, I wouldn't, either. Pretty unanimous here!

premiumshoes Sun 16-Aug-20 00:13:29

No. How needy.
