Is there any other small narrow teens brand of sanitary towels other than lilets?

Mine was very fussy and liked Sainsbury’s own brand - very thin, not perfumes and not too wide. I think own brands are generally thinner

Did anyone use period pants and if so what brand? DD started recently and isn't loving towels, so was wondering about the pants as a better option?

We didn't Dark as my Dd, who hated towels moved onto tampons and luckily had a light flow so managed with them only. I am considering pants with my youngest when she starts as she is v sporty so might give her some added protection when she is active

Thanks, DD seems quite heavy already and at 11 isn't really keen on tampons yet, so I fear it's towels for her.

Theres some bella teen ones on amazon or something.

Would help to know what the issue is so we can advise?

There's no issue. DD is only tiny and lots of brands body form, always are very wide. Lilets seem to be narrower for the gusset area. I was just wondering if there was any other brands that do a teen range. I guess it's just trial and error.

I buy lilets as they seem the smallest for DDs underwear. I buy them on Amazon as no shops bear here stock them, unless you drive 40 mins into the city! It's a right pain.

Lillets were too short for dd and they leaked at the back.

I like bodyform. They're not perfumed and they are so much softer than always.

Lillets night are better than the day ones (the day ones seem too small even with a petite teen).

My teen prefers Lillets Teen range perfect for them, Super drug and Amazon sell them

DD uses Modibodis. She started jut 3 months into having a period as she totally and utterly hates tampons and pads. She uses them only when away with the scouts or for swimming (thinking of buying her a Modibodis swimwear though).

One pair lasts from 7am - 4pm, she wears an overnight one on PE days or if she is the whole day at the stable. Hardly any leaks.

I got DD the Modibodi bikini bottoms @reluctantbrit and she loves them. Mix and match bikinis are the thing here so black bottoms are great.

Have you considered a mooncup?

Report
reluctantbrit · 04/05/2020 08:03

@londonbrick I think most preteens or young teens are still not grown enough for one.

Also, the idea to use a tampon is bad enough for mine, she only uses them as she swims as a hobby and loves pools on holiday. The idea to take a mooncup out and empty it is definitely “yuck” factor too much for her.

I use Modibodi and reuseable pads so have brought a few for DD for when she starts, the mood swings would suggest not much longer to wait.
I'm not a fan of tampons, so while I like the idea of a mooncup I'm not convinced plus have read that you have to be very careful when removing it or you can end up with a prolapse.

The modibodi swimsuit comes up quite small. Bought 2 and both quite right (but fine). Probably need to be.
