Just wondering what books my 17 year old needs for preparing for his driving test? I have looked on Amazon but there seem to be lots of different items. If anyone is able to advise exactly what I need that would be great please.
Many thanks.

There is an app - don't bother with the book.

I passed my theory first time in May last year and found this app really useful - it also has hazard perception on it. I tried a few but this was definitely the closest to the actual test.

Other than the Highway code I've never read another driving related book before or after passing my practical test!

@BlueEyedFloozy thanks that’s great. But the Highway Code book was useful? Thanks

Not particularly - i guess it's handy but most of it is just common sense.

There are a few bits I skim read if I would like to know specifically i.e. double checking of it's ok to park on the opposite side of the street 🤦

This might sound like a daft queary but they recently added a manoeuvre - pull up on the wrong side of the road where it's safe to do so and reverse 2 car lengths... This confused me no end as the highway code says not to do it so I had to double check the parking bit! I don't think I could just read it cover to cover though.
