Nando's voucher. Seems to be a universally accepted gift around here grin

Thank you @Panticles !!! Bought the St Johns first aid book... it's interesting and got loads of illustrations. Great idea!

What about an experience? Even something as simple as vouchers for the cinema? Or something like an activity she could do with friends or her mum?

Bullet journal and fancy pens

Pretty stationery, notebook, diary etc. One of those fancy water bottles with a cool design. Candle. Any good?

I hate buying presents for teenagers. It's nearly impossible.

Panticles Sat 03-Aug-19 17:42:02

Earphones
iPod docking station
Trainer socks with eco water bottle
Pack for eco/green toiletries such as toothbrush and toothpaste
Highway Code and St. John’s ambulance first aid book
Ted baker purse
Fondue set
These are a list of popular gifts to give or receive with my children and friends.

If she's genuinely into maths, try this website: mathsgear.co.uk/

My 17 yo daughter sounds similar and very much liked the binary birthday candles and the weirdly shaped dice.

Thanks @Aquamarine1029. The family is very well off...so I'd struggle to think of an amount. Maybe a gift voucher...

Oops posted too soon. I'm thinking books. Any suggestions gladly welcome. Many thanks

Money. It's not imaginative but it's sensible and will allow her to get something she really wants.

We've been invited to dinner for our friends daughter's 17th birthday. She is notoriously difficult to buy for... not into makeup clothes or sports. She is very academic, loves mathematics and hopes to do medicine in future. Any suggestions please??
