Advice please

Hi all
My son is 18 and recently has moved in with myself and his step father after spending 6 years abroad with his father, things turned really bad 2 years ago as he turned to drugs and mixing with the wrong crowd, unfortunately his father is no role model now and begun to take drugs with him, he has been in Private rehab since July 2018 but as I say back home with us.

He has Aspergers syndrome (diagnosed when he was 12) so its all a little hard for him, he was a top A class student till about 15/16 and then the drugs started, he was also emotionally abused by his step mother, so as you can imagine he has loads to come to terms with.

My question is - what is the best place for him to get a little part time job without feeling totally overwhelmed? He is applying for college but just to get him out of the house a little as I work full time and his step father...

Do you have any charity shops or food banks locally? He could do a few hours as a volunteer there to get him started.

I have not thought about that just yet, it could be a good idea to get him used to social environments instead of pushing him in the deep end!
