Teenage DS - spots

My DS is 16 and has been suffering from spots for the last two years - tiny almost 'rash like' acne. His skin is sensitive and doesn't react well to products with benzoyl peroxide. The GP prescribed Duac and said to return after a month if it didn't work so going back to the GP next week. Do vitamins help - zinc maybe? Do oral anti biotics help? Just looking for ideas.

My dd and ds both had bad acne. They started out with anti biotics from the Doctor which helped a little - but both ended up being prescribed Roacutane from the dermatologist they were referred to. There are risks involved with this drug - however they both have wonderfully clear skin now
