Have you googled star dog? It's a type of weed.

Report
SummerStrong · 09/10/2018 15:59

It seems to be a type of weed that is sold in the midlands.

Banging I would guess means good. Dropping means available.

So essentially it translates to:
‘there is some good cannabis available if you want some’

Not sure except I've heard the phrase
Snorting lines and banging nines

Amazing that if a woman has many sexual partners she's a tramp yet a man's who shags around is a stud.
Same old double standard!

Point 9s means just under a gram which is about £10 worth of weed

Report
Ploppymoodypants · 09/10/2018 16:10

Banging nines referred to in the PP mean 9bars which is urban slang for a 9oz bar of cannabis resin.

Report
JellieEllie · 09/10/2018 16:11

Basically that text means "ive got some really good weed it's a tenner a gram"

JellieEllie thank you for updating me on my urban slang.
If only it was available on google translate 😁 would make parenting teens a lot easier

No worries. I smoked a lot of cannabis through my early teens and into my early 20's (terrible I know) so I know what dealer speak is 😂🙈 I'm ashamed now for knowing haha.

He's got £10 bags of star dog that are really good and he's willing to drop off. Think you need a chat with your daughter.

Report
pasanda · 09/10/2018 16:16

Bloody hell. I thought it would be but was hoping it wasn't Sad

I will try and have a chat with her but usually this ends up with her screaming at me for being so nosey and 'creepy' for looking. I know this is her way of trying to deflect from the convo but it really does make it hard to have any rational talk at all. She'll be all defensive and hysterical!!

Take the phone off her if she reacts like that.... I assume you pay for it and she is using it for illegal activity.
This isn't coming from some wet behind the ears mum either. I have three teenage boys!

Well, you could say to her that messages like that are the very reason you feel the need to check. Actions equal consequences. She can tantrum as much as she wants. If you can nip this in the bud now, all the better. Weed is so bad for developing teenage brains. My daughter was a heavy user in her mid teens. I don't think it's a coincidence that she now suffers from acute anxiety.

I smoked weed as a teen. 14 actually, not sure if my parents knew, was just to be cool. Can't say it ever did anything, was probably rubbish stuff. Grew up and haven't smoked it for over a decade. I'd just say you know and point out the risks and have a chat. I'd be concerned if it was cocaine or something though.

Also, doing this for a job, the dealers send this message out to everyone on their list.

It could be she's caught in the crossfire of this blanket message, but a dealer has her number.
What name is it saved as? Friend from school? Unknown? Might give you a bit more info as to what she's up to.

pasanda · 09/10/2018 17:08

The name is Yo

She has to get the bus straight home from school usually (we live rurally) but on a Tuesday she has a club at 6.30pm in the small town where her school is. So she as 3 hours to just hang around. She says she goes to a friends house but I can't be sure.

She goes to her dads after this club so I'll talk to her tmrw after school.

Might be worth showing the police so they can trace the sender?

Report
pasanda · 09/10/2018 17:14

I don't have the number tho. Just the notification of the text.

Do you think if I could find out the number, the police could trace who it belongs to?
