My DD is 16 in 2 weeks and we are completely stuck on what to get her.
She has no idea what she wants and I don’t want to give her money as I want something for her to be able to open. She is very girly and we have a budget of £500 but would rather stay under the £300/350 mark.

Any suggestions?

Let her choose some new bedding/ furniture etc and paint and get her room redecorated?

My DD is 16 in a couple of weeks too. I have bought her

a snowflake pandora ring (the blue crystallised one) - she has self esteem issues and I wanted her to remember that she is precious, unique and beautiful whenever she looked at it.

A Fitbit Charge 2 - I don’t think she’s active enough and I’m hoping it’ll inspire a healthier attitude. It’s also a watch so it’ll help with timekeeping.

A Birchbox subscription - this is a selection of high end beauty products, all packaged nicely. I’ve had one before and she was v envious!

One of those Tweepi hair removal wands that everyone was raving about on here.

A silly toy that was part of a show we went to see together to celebrate her passing her exams. It seemed like a good idea at the time but now I think she’ll just be like Hmm.

Came in at about £200.

My dd was 16 last month.
If there were that much money going towards a present, she would want me to hold on to it / save it for her so she can put it towards driving lessons in 11 months time. She is very keen to drive.
I'd just get her a couple of little token things to physically open on the day - smellies / chocs / socks maybe.

Dd was 16 last month. I took her on the harry potter tour, just me and her all day. It was a coach trip too, no way I'm driving all that way by myself. I also got the coach driver to announce her birthday and get the other passengers to sing happy birthday 😂

We got DD some fancy eyeshadow (she told us which set... Ugly Animal? Some silly brand name like that) & some expensive eye shadow brushes. She kind of has a credit note for some more items in future.

Last year she had a combined Birthday+Xmas gift of £300 phone.

Also... chocolates & big balloons & DVD of her choice & sleepover.

DD is turning 16 in two weeks also. . I've got her tickets to ComiCon and the promise of standing in line for an autograph from one of her crushes favourite actors.

We are also doing a special day, possibly a spa day, with her adult female friends. She has a collection of friend, most of whom are in my social circle who have adopted her as one of their own.
