Where to buy clothes for teenage girl who is not skinny?!

Any suggestions on which shops I can take my DD13 to to get some clothes that aren't designed for someone skinny? Everywhere like New Look seems to be high waisted and cropped tops which just do not suit or fit her well at all. She is feeling pretty low and thinks she is fat - she is not fat, but has got a bit of a tummy at the moment and is never going to be skinny / slim. That is just her genetic make-up! She eats healthily and all that but has low confidence with body image as many do at this age. We are off on holidays at half term and I want her to feel happy in some summery things but she says she hates wearing a swimsuit and that she looks best in clothes designed for boys as they suit her "bulkiness".
She tried on some Next clothes but they did not work, she is definitely out of child sizing now but the teen stuff just isn't right for her. I am actually dreading the shopping trip as I know she is just going to say everything makes her look fat so if I can go armed with some places that might have suitable clothes it would help!
Thanks!

How tall is she, and what clothes size?

And what's her style?

Boohoo.com is great.

You order stuff, try it on at home and send back what you don't like, then get charged for what you keep if you do paypal "pay after delivery".

Try Asos. They have a plus size range too (not that she is) but not as many crop tops in that category

She is about 5'3 and a size 12. She doesn't really have a "style" as all she has worn until now is leggings and t shirts. She likes wearing denim shorts with tights or jeggings and currently just t shirts / hoodies. She is not really "girly" but does like to wear a bit of make up and do nails etc so i think she would like to find some more shapely clothes to wear. She won't wear a dress!

Sorry just testing my mobile site isn't posting my comments. Desktop site is fine on a mobile.

GAP do some nice T shirts and dresses as do H&M. I also like some things from Primark, atm they have those flippy sequin tshirts with emojis on them that are in black and quite long. My 9 year old loved them but they were quite big on her.

Given that she'll fit adult clothes fine, is probably look at New Look adults and Primark.

DD is similar - 5ft 4, size 10-12 but "straight" if you see what I mean, not teeny hipped with a flat stomach which is what the stuff seems to be designed for.

She has some stuff from H&M, ladies Next (long denim shorts), Superdry (sporty dress and she's not a dress wearer either!) and ladies M&S.

River island Molly jeans are great: flattering and come in short length.

Ditto top shop stretchy jeans.

Then New Look or H &M for tops. She could layer a crop style top over a slightly longer vest top.

Some great ideas here, thank you so much! Maybe we will find something after all :)

Oh, and there are dungaree shorts in primark so no tummy out! Sizing very variable in primark and H&M

My DD is 5ft and a 10/12, with a big bust! She gets jeans from River Island or New Look, and tops from New Look or topshop. Although she'll wear crop tops which aren't particularly flattering. I've had the stroppy shopping trip many times

hi, red herring in debenhams is great for flattering t shirts, and ladies marks and spencer's do lots of those loose tapered stretchy trousers that teens like. They are nice and cool for summer.

Don't know if they still do it but Boden had a teenage range that was great whilst my DD2 was at that 'transitional' stage especially for shorts/cropped trousers.

How about some of the surfy ranges like animal, roxy etc? Or fat face?

"She is about 5'3 and a size 12."

At least 30% of other teen girls will be a similar size at that height. They all seemed to be clothed.

Dunno what to suggest but probably Primark. They have "short leg" versions of teen styles, for instance, at every waist size below 20.

Tkmax can have surfing stuff if lucky

H&M have a line called 'Divided' which is youthful, but are in adult sizes!

She may also find dresses flattering as they skim over your figure and are easy to wear.
