Hi.. new here! Need advice.. my daughter is 17 and has just passed her driving test. She has a car... I am at my wits end nervous all the time whilst she is out! Should I be trying to restrict how much she goes out in the car? Curfew etc??

I wouldn't restrict how much she uses the car, the more practice the better. I would be strict on telling her about being distracted by her mobile, changing radio station etc.

Has she got one of those black boxes for insurance? My DSS had to have one to get a half decent priced policy and that helped us to relax a bit. I don't think he was 'allowed' to drive after a certain time at night - possibly 10/11 presumably the later the driving, the higher the chance of an accident.

My DD passed a couple of weeks ago. We are building her up, as she has dyspraxia which effects her concentration, processing, noticing etc and it uses all her processing to drive even when fully awake.

So at the moment no passengers or evenings for DD, though it's not a restriction of insurance at the moment. (We are paying the insurance, and DH is main driver (honestly not fronting) until DD finishes college in July when we will take insurance out in her name.)

We also insist mobile is off when driving.
