Weve tried paracetamol, and she is allergic to ibuprofen and doctors is closed not sure what to do now?

Call 111 for advice
Maybe other pain relief

Call 111 or go straight to A&E, or call 999 if it is extremely bad.

Could it be dislocated? I think she needs to see someone.

We called 111 who said to go to a&e went there just got back as waiting times were ridiculous. The a&e doctor said its not dislocated and there isnt much we can do until we get a gp appointment. They could of atleast given her some stronger pain medication because shes had so many sleepless nights because of the pain that ive lost count now

WHt about a topical cream treatment like voltarol cream? Or ibuleve gel?

Have you considered alternative therapy like acupuncture?

Does a heat pack/ice pack give any relief?

No, weve tried loads of home remedies even deep freeze gel but nothing. Shes had physio to strengthen her muscles around joints but the pain is still there

Would co-codamol or naproxen help? Both available from a pharmacy and the pharmacist will be give advice on which painkiller to take for the best

Ignore naproxen as if allergic to ibuprofen that will most likely have the same effect.

Warm bath or bag of peas? Pharmacist would be able to sell you something maybe cocodomol which would help.

My DD has problems with her knees due to hypermobility and her physio tried out KT tape on her. This really works and so she does it herself when she is having a bad time. She also has diclofenic for pain relief and goes to the gym and has specific exercises to do.

If you google 'Kt tape knee' you can see YouTube videos fro how to apply it or ask the physio. I have attached a photo of how DD has it.
