13 year old daughter asking for wkd?

So today on friday my 13 year old daughter is having a sleepover with her best friend, and she asked me for some wkd blue for the sleepover. Shes pretty sensible but Im not sure what to say to her as I want her to feel mature and that im treating her like like shes mature but I dont want her to think its ok to just drink alcohol whenever if u know what i mean x

My 13 year old thinks alcohol is disgusting and makes people act appallingly.

Now I'm wondering if he really is as immature as he presents because wanting alcopops is not mature behaviour.

Im starting to think her new school was a bad idea as apparently her other classmates drink it and smirnoff ice. This just gets worse

No. Apart from anything else, there is the other child to consider. Giving alcohol to your own child at that age is contentious enough, giving it to someone else's kid shouldn't even be considered.

Has she ever had anything alcoholic before? I think winging in with alcopops is a pretty bad idea...they are sweet, sticky, very easy to drink

it's like weaning a child onto chocolate pudding and then wondering why it won't eat vegetables

I'm sure what you can say - "no". Can you speak to the friend's parents - I doubt "everyone else" drinks WKD and Smirnoff Ice.

Dd wasn't interested at that age but I think I would have said no.
15 and a half yes probably and certainly by 16...

You are the parent. You don't need a justification for this. Absolutely not is enough.

Definitely not. I'd be absolutely furious if my 13 year old went to a friend's house and was given alcohol.

Definitely not. Just say no, buy her some J20 or shloer (spelling?) or something if she wants to feel grown up.

She's 13. She's too young to drink alcohol with a friend. Maybe a small glass of Buck's Fizz at a family event but not spirits sitting in a bedroom or in a bus shelter.

And you feel that buying your 13 year old daughter and her friend blue alcopops is the best way to do this? what is it about Wkd that screams "maturity" to you?
