Echo dot
Signed Dr who picture (he's a Whovian)
Silly gadget that looks like an old telly, you put your mobile phone in that magnifies it (watches lots of YouTube videos)

I asked DS what were his favourites, and he said 'everything' Smile.

He loved:

a bundle of PC gamer magazines
hoodies t-shirts and posters from Redbubble

a terrarium kit
a knife sharpener and a book about whittling
a bluetooth speaker (£15 from Amazon)
gaming headphones & mouse
big tin of After Eights
magnetic putty
Mysterium game.

Bookwise, DS loves Brian Selznick's books, which have great illustrations so they are nice presents, and his cousin bought him a cool anime graphic novel called Deathnote.

DD2's best present was a voucher to be a 'farmer for a day' at local activity farm. She'll get to collect eggs, prepare food, clear out pens etc. Activity vouchers have generally gone down well with my DDs, who have variously done

  • junior keeper at wildlife centre (twice)
  • helicopter ride
  • speedboat ride
  • birds of prey handling

DD1 has indicated she quite fancies doing indoor skydiving, so maybe for her next Bday.
