How can I help my 13yo DS get rid of blackheads on his nose. He washes his face daily and uses clearasil wipes but they really bother him.

Steam over a basin of hot water, and a clean tissue to gently squeeze them out ?
You used to be able to buy blackhead extractors at the chemists......

Santa got my 13yo ds a packet of nose strips from Tesco. But using a flannel to take cleanser off also helps to slough of the dead skin cells, which add to the problem. I've also shown him how to steam and squeeze. Body Shop still sell blackhead extractors. (This has been an issue for us too, late,y, can you tell?!)

Cream or soap cleanser (depending on skin type). It does NOT need to be posh.

Then: clean flannel everyday! Scrub nose and chin with it while cleanser is on. A bit gentler on cheeks.

Et voila! A presentable face Smile

Forget all the drugstore chemicals. Get him a bottle of Tea Tree oil. It's all natural and nature's amazing anti-baterial. Bacteria is what causes acne and blackheads. Also, try to help him limit the sugars in his diet as they cause imflamation and skin problems.
