DD16 treats older brother atrociously

DD16 has been obnoxiously rude to DS for years. He has ASD and according to her he embarrasses her in front of her friends, which is just one excuse for her behaviour. She won't answer him when he asks her questions, either ignores him or tell him nothing, amongst other things.

It came to a head this evening when she left the house to meet DH, (DH rang her and asked her to come and help him), and as a result of her refusing to tell DS where she was going, DS wasn't able to tell me what was happening when I got home from a meeting which meant I couldn't go to help.

It really sickens me because DS would do anything for her and would love to be friends with her.

I took away her phone this evening but that won't improve the relationship. Any one any suggestions?

She sounds like bullying bitch. Is she like this with anyone else? She needs to learn empathy and fast.

No, only seems to be with DS.

He can be high maintenance but he's a lovely guy who'd do anything for her.

Maybe record her so she can see how awful she's being, might shock her into finding some humanity.

She admits she's horrible to him and promises to change but says he annoys her.

He probably does, but most of it is down to him misreading social cues due to the ASD, and she just won't cut him any slack on it.
