Found DS Stash

I've recently found my DS stash in his room. He had just under an ounce of weed, 5 tabs of LSD, Fags and a Vape. I've completely lost my shit with him over the eCig alone but he just doesn't seem to care. What should I do?

He's told me that he only sells the LSD and has never tried it but admits he does smoke marijuana.

That's a lot of weed for one person. Rough price £160-£200 and that's northern prices.

Is he dealing?

(Iv worked in rehabilitation I'm not a dealer/user)

Calling the police is out of the question. I have no idea but I can't decide what I'm more annoyed at, him dealing or him having it for personal use.

Cross post op.

Ringing police won't do him any good he'll end up with a record before he's 16.

GP referral in my opinion the cannabis is worse then the lsd.

The mental health problems it can cause young (normally male) teenagers is ridiculous.

I'd flush it down the toilet to make it harder for him to afford to deal.

Doing it himself would make me furious enough but dealing it to others would make be beyond furious

Maybe you should show him this

You've just become an accessory in drug dealing, I think. That's a bit awkward. And you know its going on, based in your house. I have a feeling that's an offence (a former colleague's son was a dealer).

I suggest you protect yourself first. He's made his life-choice. You need to be there when he makes a better one.

Don't call the police.
Drug and alcohol agencies often have 'concerned others' services. I'd look for a local agency and ask them for advice as a first step.
Obviously I'd be destroying the drugs and limiting his freedom as much as humanly possible in the meantime...

I can't really limit him going out as he literally never goes out apart from once or twice a week which is obviously to buy and to sell. He says he sells a lot of it on this site called Alphabay.

He's buying and selling stuff on the dark net? You sound very calm about this! Have you taken his phone/lap top off him? I think you need professional help with this.

I would definitely be taking away any internet access

Plarasa · 07/08/2016 15:40

I feel if I take away his Internet access he'll just go to either the streets which are worse in my eyes or even be doing this at someone else house...

An ounce is a lot for a teen. Would he be selling it for someone and taking a cut? My friends now ex sold weed and bought it about 110-160 an ounce and then sold it off in smaller bags for a profit.

This is deeply serious. Drug agency first thing and follow their advice.

What sort of life does he lead, who are his friends.

I always told mine usual that if any drug(s) came into our home I wouldn't hesitate to dial the police. Zero tolerance here.

SIL and her partner stayed once and partner lit a joint in our garden. DH politely booked them an hotel and booked them a cab. They knew our views.

I know it's easier said than done as some teenagers will just go out regardless of what you say or do but I would want and aim to deny him Internet access and the freedom to go anywhere other than school, at least for now.
His online sales- how are they paid for? If it's PayPal or bank transfer or similar can you disrupt that? I'm guessing as he's 15 you have the legal right to do so. If it's bitcoin I have no idea what you could do there. I really would get advice from an agency that provides drug and alcohol services OP.
Where is he buying from? Online or local dealers? Does he owe for what you found? If he can't pay his suppliers you're looking good at serious negative consequences.

He's told me that he only sells the LSD

Only???? You do realise that in the eyes of the law that is a much greater offence than possessing or taking it? If he sells to his schoolmates he will be permanently excluded, and if he is found out he risks custody. Most seriously, he risks turning other people into addicts and causing them serious injury or death. You also risk prosecution just by virtue of having the stuff in your house.

This is incredibly serious. People are right, you need professional help to get it through to him that this has to stop, now, come what may. If it were my child, I would be telling him that I will be calling the police if he ever does anything of this nature again. You need to protect other people from him.
