DD had her first period but nothing since

DD had her first period (age 13) 6 weeks ago but hasn't had one since.
I know they can sometimes be irregular in the early stages but how much of a gap should we be roughly expecting? Can they be months apart? I seem to remember mine were fairly regular from the start so I've no experience of this. Anyone else's DD the same?

DD's (now 14) have been very irregular since they started about 2.5 years back. We did go and talk to the GP (various other issues) and she said that if it's more than 3 months between periods it's potentially worth investigating, but I don't know if that's once they've started 'properly' or not.

My DD had one period then nothing for 6 months, then they settled regularly. I googled a lot and apparently it's pretty common.

Mine were irregular for years. Had about 3 a year in the first few years.

My DD had her first period when she was only 9, then nothing for several years (can't remember exactly what age she was when they properly started). The GP told us it was nothing to worry about.

DD had a gap of 3 months after her 2nd one. After that she's been pretty much regular. Takes a year to regulate apparantly.

Thanks all, she got her 2nd period today, I will now expect things to be irregular for a while. She's taking it all in her stride :)
