My ds is only 7, but I very tall? 9-10 clothes. I get a lot of his stuff from H&M. They seem to have a lot if teen stuff too, at good prices.

H&M. Will stick with it as long as I can. Fortunately he's not label-aware yet.

AnyFucker Mon 26-Oct-15 08:05:47

DS is 15 and just starting to pull his face at H+M. Gutted.

Top Man seems to be the favourite but it is lots more expensive.

Top Man or River Island.

Superdry but more expensive.

Where does he like shopping? At that age DS was shopping with a group of friends without me. But there's much more choice online, depending on his style. Asos is great and returns are free so you can buy two sizes to try and then return one. Independents like Drop Dead, Rip n Dip, Own the Night, etc. are good for Christmas presents as they're more expensive.

Now DS is 17 he shops mostly in charity shops topped up with jeans from eBay smile

I've bought online from Next before and also recently bought some skinny trousers from Bhs, also use H&M. My DS isn't bothered by brands so long as clothes look reasonably on trend.

When DS2 was this age, tall & skinny, I bought quite a bit on eBay.

MandM go up to 14 & they have some nice stuff

Didn't mean to just show hoodies! But you can use that page to search for other stuff.

You could look at the smallest men's sizes too though those are more expensive as a rule

Verypissedoffwife Mon 26-Oct-15 09:58:45

I get quite a lot from Sports Direct - trainers, jeans, tshirts and hoodies. Plus the obligatory hollister hoodie. My son also likes band tshirts that I buy online. He's a bit geeky though and doesn't really care what he wears as long as it's comfortable. Which is fortunate considering his sister is the opposite!

Primark was our saviour at that age , trendy, cheap and going to a small 28 waist but with long legs.

Agree re H&M while you can.

We had some good success re Uniqlo. Started off looking in there recently as ds needed some warm stuff for a school trip. But we were both pretty impressed with some of the things (although some are Not Good and I'm not entirely sure they themselves know the difference between what is good and what is A Shocker).

They have some very nice hoodies, good shirts/tops, some good trousers and the ubiquitous heatech for layering. The best lines have quite a cool Japanese vibe to them. My DS is 14, exactly average height and the men's XS is a good fit for him - being Japanese, they cut to a slightly smaller template.

Not as cheap as H&M, but not too bad and very good quality.

Agree re Primark as well - have been v pleasantly surprised by that.

SuburbanRhonda Mon 26-Oct-15 10:08:13

Judging by these posts, I think my ideas might be for a slightly older boy -sorry, OP blush

Georgethesecond Mon 26-Oct-15 10:08:34

Also agree re Primark but their sizing is all over the place. Bought DS age 14 trousers last week - 26/30 but there was a 2" difference in keg length between different styles. So some too short, some just long enought but for a tenner I don't mind too much that they won't last long.

My ds is 14 and shops in top man and John Lewis. Jl is his fave!

BestIsWest Mon 26-Oct-15 10:12:08

H&M, Primark, Gap. DS rates tesco skinnies too as they are long enough for him.

DS 16 shops in Superdry, Topman, H&M etc.

He also wears a lot of footie tops ( the more obscure the better ) which he picks up all over the place.

mumma24 Tue 27-Oct-15 08:34:45

Brilliant, thank you for all your responses, really helpful

I have also bought stuff from Burton in the sale. I know its more of an adult shop but they have good sales. We are also mainly H&M or Sports Direct.

Also buy gaming t.shirts online and also in Game when on sale.
