See a musical or stand-up comedian or live music gig?

Would she like a good camera?

Or a good quality leather bag?

The 'night out' at theatre/comedy/music could be good - a friend did this for her DD on finishing A level exams and the idea was that they dressed up 'posh' on a £10 budget, with charity shop dresses/shoes and did each other's hair/make up etc. We drove them to the gig (Sarah Millican) - each parent paid for their own child's ticket - and another parent brought them home and let them get silly in their kitchen for an hour or so afterwards with pretend cocktails/cake etc. Lots of lovely photos of them looking glam/happy - and they still talk about it.
